We already have quality midfielders in the first team as we all already know, but it's exciting having two seemingly combative box to box types with an eye for goal coming through the ranks in Whiteman and Slater, and well done on beating the pigs lads

Sorry to disappoint but Reed and Brooke's deserves a run out before Slater. Reed has been outstanding this season for the 23s.
Slater is one of 5 youngsters who has a great chance to push forward .... Add Ty Smith, Callum Semple, Jordan Hallam and Sam Graham.

These 5 have been stand out performers at a very young age. I expect them all to progress at the appropriate time.
No need to rush any of them.

I must admit Slater and Semple have been performing consistently well this season never below a 7 out of ten. It will be difficult to hold them back.

Once the title is sewn up then I would not be surprised to see both Slater and Graham play some part with the first team but it depends on what happens with the U18 play off semi final Brooke's and Reed may we'll play a part at MK Dons as the 18's semi final is scheduled for the day before the game or the same day!! Chesterfield game with nothing at stake is more realistic for Slater and Graham be some debut for them both Sold out crowd....no pressure there then

Just saw this video of u23s vs pigs and regan slaters goal (the second one) was a reyt goal. I've seen him score other good goals as well like against Grimsby in the cup. Looking forward to seeing him play for the first team.

That looked easy, the futures certainly not blue and white.

Slater already had his debut in the cup against grimsby in the cup and he got a good goal there I think. Mind there's always a league debut I guess...

Although a heart warming thought to play the youngsters, I don't think it's CWs style to promote youngsters above his regular squad. Certainly not when it's a celebration day for his first team squad.

I am all for it but my head is ruling my heart on this one.

It does only seem fair to keep the team that have earned the promotion and probably the title on the pitch for the celebrations
