Muscat was sent off for Millwall in the same incident.

Meanwhile we were oblivious to it all as we were watching the best half-time entertainment ever in the form of a penalty competition between young Blades and young Lions. One particular junior Blade was doing the old ear-cupping thing in front of the Millwall fans every time he scored.

In other memries that day, we went on to see Paul Heaton and Beautiful South at the Hammersmith Apollo that evening.

If you get redcarded during a game, then come on at the end and start fighting, would you get another red card?

I imagine you wouldn't get another red card but would just get additional games added onto your ban.

I remember in the old days bans wouldn't take immediate effect, so a player could be red carded in one match but play in the next, get sent off again and double the length of the upcoming ban.

Which is why Wally Downes only ever played about three games for us.

Hopefully get overturned. Don't think much happened, they just fell over

Both managers appealing the cards should hopefully increase the chances of them being overturned.

Let's be honest, the ref and his team got several big calls wrong on the day.

Joey jailbird Barton got a red card against Man C for QPR for elbowing Tevez, then assaulted Agueroooooooo straight after. He ended up getting a huge double ban for that.

A Wednesday player (Johnson?) was sent off after being subbed in one of the Derby games at Hillsborough about a decade ago.

Yes, Jermaine Johnson in 2008. Very funny it was too.

He left the pitch in a right strop at being subbed, booted a few water bottles then marched off down the tunnel gesticulating and gobbing off, only to be retrieved from the dressing room a couple of minutes later and red carded, pitchside, in his white string vest.

Was a rubbish day otherwise, I recall.
