Maybe surprising to note that Uniterd actualy have the chance to recruit two of their top four most successful managers. These being Spacman and er Kevin Blackwell.

I do appreciate neither is likely to happen but so far MA is our worst ever permanent manager. Considering he has had nearly half a season if he had been as good as his immediate predecessors we would have the same number of points as Doncaster.

Relegation, maybe Micky is responsible after all.

tbh i dont feel micky is to be blamed 100%. Yes his record is dreadful but how many changes could he really have made.

Surely, if he was any good he could have motivated the players to get us out of trouble, whatever opportunities he had to make changes? Phil Brown seems to have had a better crack at it for starters, and they were dead and buried when he came in. Adams results just aren't acceptable in my opinion.

Don't think you can motivate players who are incapable of even the basics to then turn them into winners.

Blackwell left a squad who couldn't compete with modern football. Nowhere within the squad is there a working partnership, whether it's at centre back, fullback and wingers, central midfielders or amongst or forwards (I can't bring myself to describe them as strikers). For this reason I won't completely condem Adams' signings. Until he has a finished product it's not fair to judge given the tools he has to work with.

If he fails then Blackwell is on Sky saying he never had the chance to build. If he's successful he will say the same but say MA had more time and money. This season we are reaping the rewards of Blackwell's transfer acumen. Or his lack of it.

But for now I think MA still has more clue about what a team needs than Blackwell and more clue about attacking football than Speed.

It hurts that he can't do better with what he's got but since Robson it's been apparent we haven't had the players of ability we really needed.

As has been said before, nobody can polish this turd of a team right now.

I blame Micky for the relegation:
20 games in but only 10 points from a possible 60.
Shocking motivation e.g. his radio interviews - seemed beaten from day one
Dreadful player signings: Doyle, Collins and Bent
Take 20 games to see Nosworthy wasn't good enough

I don't have a pathological hatred of McCabe so don't feel the need to blame him for everything including the team selection.
