For a start we need to stegthen our mid fileld and we should be planning /poaching them now

I’m the same as you Wad, would like to see a new manager sooner rather than later to assess the squad and get implementing any new system. Hopefully we will have news before the end of the season.

I take the point. But on the other hand We can’t sign anyone for months.

And I reckon anyone who’s interest or on our list will already be aware of it and have time to consider targets and their approach etc.

that said it would be nice to have a plan in place, but not at the expense of rushing and not doing a proper recruitment analysis and getting to an informed decision.

It's a difficult one as yes a new manager would be good to have in place but it needs to be the right fit. Plus we don't really know how much cash is in the pot to spend and lure targets, alot of players around the Championship Playoffs wont want a move if they get promoted. Our recent history wouldn't lure me to be part of the Princes group of clubs.

How do you know what the new manager is doing at present.
When CW joined us he had several players already in mind and brought them in.
Any quality applicant will have watched us, researched us and know exactly what he wants.
He may well read this forum so that he knows what is needed without looking himself.
