One point from 9 games is the worst start in our entire history.

How embarrassing.

I'll be surprised if any of our teams in history have scored less than 2 goals from open play in their first 9.

1975-6 season gets close.

5 goals scored in the first 9 league matches, but 2 of those were penalties.

Let's hope we do a bit better than that side over the next few games. They lost the next 5, scoring only 1 goal and with half the season gone (21 games) had just 5 points (equivalent of 6 in today's world).

We'll be history makers if we survive.

Only Man City and the Pigs have matched this start and both went down

Anymore more uplifting stats

If we lose to West Brom we'll officially have the worst start in Premier League history.

Man City had 2 points after ten games in 1995-96.

Wednesday had 4 points after ten games in 1999-00.

The last top flight team to only have 1 point after 10 games was West Brom in 1985.

West Brom in 85 is the post war worst start over 10 games, so we can equal their record if they beat us on Saturday. WBA got a second point in their 11th game so the record is there for the taking against Leicester! 😃
