The previous record being 6-1 on 3 occasions.

We actually scored 6 in a game twice that year and we were still shite.

Beesley scored a last minute equaliser which I remember because I jumped up to celebrate and accidentally elbowed a Burnley fan sat behind me in the South Stand. I was only young and it was an accident so no riot ensued.
