H

Have you got a work permit for him ?
Not sure if there's owt in this, but LondonBlade89 in shoutbox:

Re: Coulibaly ... Bettis seemed to imply that we could play him now if Wilder wanted to, and now AC Milan are bidding... does that suggest there's not much of a work permit issue?

I thought they were changing the work permit rules as a result of brexit, making it easier for non EU countries. If they have required skills etc.????

Rules have changed. He'd be borderline and I'd imagine we'd have a reasonable chance of winning on appeal (I used to work for Work Permits UK before it became the Home Office)

Reasonable chance on compassionate grounds?

If so, that's the only credible pro-Brexit argument I've heard anyone make.

...and I'll get in board with it. VIVA BREXIT, PL SAFETY IS BACK ON.

Does it go on where they are permanently resident currently or their nationality on their passport?

United have rejected the Milan bid
There is already a thread on this
Our resident Beerschot fan doesnt think hes ready for the PL as he has a tendency to lose the ball in dangerous areas in his own half. Hes only 19 and has some learning to do by the sounds of things

What's all this bollocks about work permits he became our player before Brexit so we would not be signing him as of now. He is playing in Belgium on loan from SUFC don't forget. So it would be no easier for AC Milan to get round a work permit than it would for us.

you know what though... we have nothing to lose really.. we desperately need a creative CM who makes something out of nothing, and plenty of 20 year olds make 1st team in the epl regularly... tbh the only downside i can see is maybe his confidence... but its do or die now really for the clubs sake. over any player

Don't know how many times people need to be told he wouldn't be able to play for us

That was my understanding too.

but it doesn’t gel with Bettis’s quote of saying ‘ if wilder wants him here, he’s on the next plane’.

so I am not sure what the rules are, but that sounds like he could be available.

I thnk its easier to work / get a work permit in Belgium than in the UK from what I understand
Thats why quite a few clubs park their players in the Belgium League. Think under McCabe we had some sort of link with White Star that didnt bear any fruit

Can you imagine the reaction of certain posters on here if he did come over play for us and drop a huge bollock leading us to concede a goal or two

Are you suggesting the posts above (particularly the ones from Carlton Blade) re: the rule changes don't apply because we signed him before Brexit happened? As I understood it, his being loaned out to Belgium was in part to help develop him but in part to help with a work permit down the road. But now AC Milan are in for him, it's worth asking the question whether the work permit thing is still an issue.

Correct he is an African National what would happen is Premier League teams bought players and loaned them to EU clubs since Brexit it will be easier to sign Africans and South Americans for English clubs not harder.

What do the EU's work permit rules have to do with United signing him?

Long story short I think everyone is in agreement that the work permit is no longer an issue with Coulibaly 😂

But what does that have to do with him signing for AC Milan (I wasn't clear in my last post - if he can sign for a club in Belgium he'll sign for a club in Italy unless they've recently changed their rules)
I really don't know what people are in a panic for, Ac Milan bid and were told to do one. Some seem concerned he would not get a WP for England the facts are it will be easier to get a WP post Brexit whether he can sign for another EU club is not the issue he is our player bought before Brexit, those obscure rules no longer apply we are out no matter what the BBC and woke mainstream media would like.

WTF are you talking about? Who's panicking? You were prattling on about AC Milan not being able to sign him because of WP rules?

Also, bringing the BBC and "Woke" into this 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂
