We're 4 points clear of the pigs with 3 games left, on a 6 match winning, 9 Match unbeaten run, 3rd top scorers in Europe and playing the best football in the league.

A good position to be in at the end of April, agreed.

Yet 95% of Blades, who have seen the club fail to deliver on several times, aren't taking anything for granted. Saying IF not when, working out how we could cock it up and still working out how we can improve the team.

In stark contrast to the porcine tramps from South Barnsley who would be singing from the rooftops, wearing their washing machine t-shirts and holding an open top bus parade tomorrow to celebrate winning promotion before the job is done.

So cheers for keeping me grounded, I'll add this to the long list of reasons I'm proud to be a Blade.

I think the phrase is 'pride before a fall', grounded is just where we need to be until its all done and dusted.

We've got burnt before by these things. I'm trying to hold my excitement in.... I might even do a bit of wee

I thought out this earlier this morning.

If the roles were reversed I'd say we'd have no chance, so why do I feel like we could mess it up against MK Dons and Stevenage?
The thing is if we win on Saturday, I'd still think Stevenage could turn us over leaving us with the normal Blades situation of needing a result on the last day.

Assuming of course that Wendy take 6 points from their next 2.

I think a win against MK will see us as good as promoted before we even play Stevenage (as I suspect Wendy wont take 6 points from the next 2)

Oh I'm already certain that Wednesday will take 9 points from their last 3.
Until I think about it and then I can see them dropping another 2 points at least.

So why am I so nervous? Its because they will take 9 and we will draw with MK and lose to Stevenage. o_O

I don't think we'll beat MK, but probably get a draw.

Carlisle might be running out of steam... but gave a good show against Charlton.

My feeling is:

1. Wednesday (demoralised knowing that realistic auromatic has gone) draw with Carlise
2. We draw with a semi-resurgent MK
3. Wednesday (even more sure that its the plays offs) lose at Brentford (pushing strongly for play offs)
4. We are promoted at 5pm on the 28th and go on to thrasj Stevenage in a pressure free display of flowing football...

Agreed - but will we win against MK? If we do, I'd say that's pretty much it barring a minor miracle for the massive, so let's get the prayer mats out :p

UTB!

One more win leaves them (realistically) needing to win all three. The sooner that win comes the better...

If it was any other side on our run of form, taking 5000 fans down with them, I'd fully expect them to get a win away at MK. It's just when it is us.

That will do for me.

I've just been chatting to one of my in-laws - a life-long Notts County supporter.

He was full of praise for the Blades ("best team we've seen this season by far") and very scathing about the physical way Wednesday play.

He reminded me that this year is Notts County's 150th anniversary. They are the oldest club in the Football League, of course.

How nice it would be for them to:

1. Make the play-offs
2. Beat the unclean at Wembley
