Sorry Boo, you've misunderstood my point a little.

I'm not saying most fans aren't bothered about the team, I'm saying it's ALL I bother about. I wouldn't pretend to be in either a minority or majority in that stance.
I don't think writing to the club can do any good in this matter as they have football and financial people who have their own football/financial ideas and they get paid good money for it so outside ideas aren't going to be acted upon.
I do think there are things that can be influenced, and good for those that take the time and trouble to do so, but these issues don't worry ME (although if you saw from my post many moons ago, the stripes thing bothered me greatly in my youth).

The problem with SUFC as far as time begun has been the real estate. Do you think McCabe is going to be able to sell the club with 17m of debt sitting on 25m of real estate? Not a chance. I hope, and I really do hope this is a way of protecting us against selling the club to a Simon Jordan who would then sell the club and rent back. I would be very interested to find out what the asking price is for the club is without the real estate and whether McCabe has wiped his debts from the football club by moving the ground to the plc and renting it back. These are the questions that need to be asked for me but coming back to the timing of all this, it must be investment related because I would find it hard to like McCabe considering job cuts and losing players after the mistakes he has made. Actually the mistakes he allowed Robinson, Birch and Blackwell to make.

I think Danny was the first decision he made for himself since Warnock. I want him to trust his gut with the kids now because that is the club we should be

For what it's worth, if I had received the Shareholders letter I would reply something like this:

Dear Mr McCabe,

Thank you for your letter dated 11th July.

I am slightly concerned about one paragraph in particular, that being the one that states that the Football Club will now have to "lease back" the facilities it requires and cannot manage without.
Please can you explain to someone like myself, who has no accounting knowledge, how paying "rent" can benefit the football side of the operation.

It would also be nice if you would also explain what a "suitable rent" is and how long this situation would continue for. There have been quite a few examples recently (Crystal Palace and Rotherham to name just two) that have found that they are renting the ground at very different terms to their initial agreement and this has proved an almost unsustainable financial burden for them.
What have you put in place that guarantees this will not happen at Sheffield United.

Maybe he's had enquiries in the past about selling, But the price was to much for any potential buyers. This though may have been done to appease said potential buyers and more news may be imminent. uTB

I don't disagree with what you said above. All my point is, is that mic thinks he has got some form of higher vision.
If he spoke straight (like you) instead of this ron noades shit. Ok some of us have tried it in one or two threads for a joke but the same old gets so tiresome.
