"When you see us go out and look like that then it makes you realise our biggest problem this season is going to be keeping everybody fit" (Sky Sports)

No the biggest problem is you
As many have said, yesterday we had pace in the team. You had the balls to leave the right players out - Evans, Cresswell, Stewart, Quinn etc etc
You left players upfield when the AWAY team got a corner or freekick
It seemed that you'd instructed the midfield (without Quinn thankfully, though 'booers' please don't bother coming next time) to actually play
etc etc etc

Have the bottle to do it again on Tuesday and see what happens

I honestly don't think the 'normal / majority' don't really ask for that much

Don't pop my bubble yet again...

Have the bottle to do it again on Tuesday

And if we do lose lets all have the bottle to back him

For fucks sake lighten up. We just won. Ive had my doubts about the manager as well but you can only look at your last result and move on from there. You cant dwell all the time.

As was said already, lets see if we can follow the same methods and approach through to tuesday. But then again nothing would make some people happy would it?!

UTB (with caution)

I thought that we played very well indeed. Passed and moved well. Yeates looked good. Ward looked fast (kept switching wings) Willo in middle was awesome. Kallio was steady, Bartley looks composed, Geary (GEARY GEARY GEARY!!) Nosworthy scared me a bit but still looks to be that bit of extra class. If i had to pick 1 player that i was unimpressed with it would be Henderson's first half performance. Missed 2 golden opportunities and played a lot of passes to them. 2nd half played better and glad he got the goal.

I went to pick our lass up from work yesterday and was listening in to some blokes talking about Saturday, first one says. "Any good yesterday? Heard they played a lot better?"

His response was. "F*ck knows, i left after half hour cos it was w*nk. Went to play snooker instead."

What game was he watching? Just shows that some will moan regardless of result.

Before the game i wasn't looking forward to it and was also thinking that £25 for the forest game is £25 i've wasted but... Play like that again and i might be driving up the M1 a happy man 2moro night

Agree with all of that apart from the Hendo comment. He was given a rare opportunity to show he can play football and he looked a good player. Most of us recognise he is anyway.

As for the bloke at your missus' work.............

No comment

Two players are out injured so it won't be the same team.
I'm going for Sick Note being one.

I like Henderson and think he gets a raw deal from fans and referees. End of the day he's our leading scorer. IMO i thoght he gave it away a lot in first half.

Good performance allround though

Yawn yawn yawn.

What is/ who are the normal/majority?
See a bit confussed here? are you suggesting that the majority want Blackwell out? and anyone who doesn't want him out are in the minority and are abnormal?
I would suggest that the majority may not like Blackwell all that much but do not want Blackwell out and therefore the minority Blackwell out shouters are abnormal?

No sadly to disappoint  if I had such opinions on football I would have been advised to take up another sport a long time ago. I have never walked out of a game before the final whistle, never mind half an hour early. Strange people.

I think the abnormal ones booed Quinn coming onto the pitch

I find the booing of our own players appauling. The people (loose term) who take part in this should stay at home if thats how they feel. They need to look up the term 'supporter.'

Winning 2-0, the only danger is coming from the speedster on the left, Blackwell decides to shore up the lefthand side and Quinn gets booed on.
There must have been a bunch of Paul Walker clones in the crowd.

No, I'm suggesting the normal / majority are people who just want to see a team that tries to pass, has a bit of pace, don't boo players on or want them to fail and mainly want to go to the lane to enjoy the football. This season the only enjoyable thing has been the boozer and the banter for me, however Sat was a lot better.

The minority / abnormal (prob wrong choice of word but many who I see are) are those who boo players onto the pitch and want us to fail.

So we are agreeing on most of that I'd reckon, and from what I've seen of previous posts. I'd however have Blackwell out but don't feel the need to boo about it.

I just hope he has finally seen the light and if he has then great on that front - but we've been here before I fear.

most people instinctively recognise that quinn is the player who unbalances the team.. contributes the least.. is the worst player.. that being said i reckon they were booing because they didn't want camara to go off not quinn coming on.. camara looked exhausted, ok, but he was still after a third goal and the fans respect that..
blackwell will change the team on tuesday .. we will go 451 with quinn first on the team sheet.. you watch.. i'm already booking my abuse slot if he does

Good that sorts that out. Abnormal people boo.

See on the second part, do you believe he is trying for success? I do but a lot of Blades believe he should have no excuses. You see if Hendo never got injured how many goals would he have got? He may have had a goal drought we will never know. If willo had been fit all the time, I would suggest he would have played him. Now a lot of Blades have adopted a term 'Hoof' to describe getting the ball upfront and bypassing midfield The biggest culprit of this was Kyle Walker, yet he was also our second best defender and is considered good on the ball by most including me. Do we think that Blackwell would love his preferred back four back? (Naysmith, Killa Morgs Walker) yes he would but not possible. Do we believe that he would like that same midfield as Saturday, yes he would. And the two upfront? Paddy in goal? Now imagine that team as a settled side:thumbup: But he can have no excuses can he? So when it is not possible to keep the same side, he try's using Willo out wide. It didn't work very well but hey he should have dropped Monty or Harper to accommodate Willo centrally. He gets slagged off for not playing Ward but by Wards own admission he was not playing well.
This could go on and on but to suggest he has finally seen the light! Well you pick your team I'll pick mine all through the turnover of players and I bet we get massive differences? That would also lead to different style of play and a different level of confidence within those players which would only come together the more they played together. Saturday was a great example, we didn’t set off that good a few bad passes and lack of control but when Bristol didn’t close or capitalise on this then the confidence was allowed to develop. It amazes me how fans think they have had some influence through some sort of collective to have an opinion about how and who you would like in your team is one thing, but to believe that he should have thought of that a long time ago without consideration for others circumstances is another.

You already know he has to change because of injury. So we have to change the midfield.

Please feel free to suggest replacements.

Quinny usually looks more at home when we play it quick and one the floor.
If he is drafted in and we keep the same style I think he would be ok as long as it is on the left and not in the middle should Willo not make it.

I don't mind if he changes it to 4-5-1 and we use the wings and and midfield as effectively as we did with the 4-4-2 on saturday. There is no reason for that formation to not work if we play the game simple and do the basics well. The problem is playing a 4-5-1 were you don't involve the midfield by hitting it over their heads, playing football and having that extra man in those areas can be used to over power forests midfield but we need to play well and give the right support to the front man.

Not got the time to go ramble through all of this but I did not say he can have no excuses, and take the abnormal booing as literally as you like.

Saturday was not just a change in personnel because of injuries.

Blackwell claims that his biggest problem is keeping people fit, I totally disagree.

It was the right substitution at the right time. Kallio had been left with insufficeient cover twice just before and when Quinn came on he shored up the left side and there was no more threat. Booing him on was shameful..

I would suggest the boo-boys pressured Quinny into missing that opportunity in the last minute.
The chance was lost when he controlled it. He would have hit it first time normally.

If a couple of boos effect a player that much, perhaps he isn't strong enough to be on the pitch then.

Can't deny that Robbie, and as a professional you would expect it.

We've all seen how good Quinny can be though, so why not give him a bit of encouragement, eh?

I don't think we should expect players to be automatons because they are professional and get paid lots.
I think everyone given the right circumstances can be effected by a lack of confidence. It might only to not play a tricky defence splitting pass preferring to keep the ball. But to assume that top class players aren't effected by crisis of confidence would be wrong.

I'm sure away fans can be easier to block out because they are 100% for the opposition, but when your own fans get at you it must effect you at some level. No one likes to be told they aren't doing very well, especially if they are genuinely trying their best.

Funny how people respond better to praise than criticism, i'nt it Bob.
There'll always be a few people that were whipped as kids and prefer to use a stick though.

Some people respond to the carrot others need the stick. It needs careful man management from your manager, which is where it falls down for us.
