I know quite a few on here couldn't stand him, but the times I saw him he looked OK. Has he got a year left on his contract?

I think he was scapegoated on a few occasions but I'm with you, looked OK for the most part at Chumpionship level so should be fine down a division.

I have a feeling [with all the wisdom of one who's seen him a grand total of once!] that David McAllister will prove to be just the player you're looking for. A number of us would like to see him paired with Willo. Both have a number of strings to their bows, unlike the present encumbents.

I think we can safely say that the RAPFA backs that idea Pinch. Quinn and Monty out and Willo and Dave Mac in the centre. A midfield that is creative and will be able to pass to each other. One can only dream ....

I see Andy Taylor is back running, so it's possible he'll be back ahead of August - he's played at this level before, and should be fine in my opinion. I wouldn't have said a left back's a priority.

Taylor is awful, though perhaps he will do at LB in League One. However, every time I have seen him he looked out of his depth. His positioning is poor and he is slow. Any nippy, tricky or pacey winger will embarass him. The last game I remember seeing him (Coventry at home) he had a stinker and was dragged off by (Speed I think) at half time. He was all over the place and he cost us a goal (and the match). He kept hoing up the pitch to take freee kicks and then getting caught out of position. he did not work hard to get back and on one occassion we got punished. Coventry shut up shop and we lost. I actually felt sorry for Taylor as he looked completely lost and his ineptness was there for all to see. Not the answer in my opinion. In fact I would be looking to ship him out.

I really think we need a striker who can get us 20+ goals a season.

Also, think a lot of what we need will depend on who goes!

My thoughts too! Need to find people who want to actually attack the ball rather than waiting for things to happen or the ball come to them. Ched is too lethargic and way too expensive for us. Slew, for me, is too raw and not strong enough to give a solid season long performance. Hendo owes us a season of hard graft and I think plucking another "Jamie Ward type" player who actually wants to perform for us would give us some options.

He is really slow and gets caught out a lot. Olle has just summed him up really.

I thought he was a player that had some pace about him when we signed him.

He can deliver a good cross sometimes but even a slow left winger is still no good to us.

Not really got anyone in mind, but what about looking north of the border, well anything outside the old firm.

Would pretty much say that league is about the level we are at now. Surely there might be some worth picking up.
