Poor first half. We're too slow. Need to move the ball quicker and stop jogging about.

Basham needs to stop jogging forward, passing the ball off and then keeps going. Only for us to lose the ball and them to break on us. Slow as heck Reading had a 2 on 2 with us. I have zero issue with bombing forward to overlap, within reason, but stop jogging forward when you've passed the bloody ball off sideways. With Bogle playing on the week Norwood is our rightsided defender. Idiotic, stupid play.

Berge jogging about. Not picking people up. Not taking the right man. Sigh.

Ndiaye looks lively. McBurnie is going to get sent off at this rate. That's two late challengers when he's obviously left the boot in on defenders. I wish he'd concentrate on his game because his control has been rubbish.

McAtee and Bogle both making bad decisions and wasteful on the ball.

Egan getting beaten by Carroll all the time.

Needs to be better

Needs to be better

HT. Looked decent for the first 10, had a bit of energy. Since then, no patterns of play in the final 3rd. Complete disconnect from Norwood/Berge to McAtee/McBurnie/Ndiaye.

Bogle wasteful, Lowe nowhere to be seen.
Seemingly the formula for every match. A shake up in that team is needed, the same set up each week is endangering the promotion.

the usual lack of creativity laid bare, nothing between mid and upfront….

Playing ok. But the final ball has been awful.

The number of unenforced errors where the final pass has been hit way too hard or just wayward. I've almost lost count.

Some of Bogle's distribution has been awful.

Glad he booked Ince. But a number of their defenders could have been booked already. The guy on the left has done a couple and it had me thinking that if Anel had made that challenge he's in the book.

Need to up the tempo here. If we can get McAtee and Ndiaye on the ball more, especially with their centre half booked, there are goals for us here and more than one.

They haven't kept it tight. With the sniper like shooting Boro have had of late, there have been enough openings to be two to the good at least.

I do feel like the amount of possession and control we have and fail to do anything with seems to constantly be a morale boost for opposing teams. Almost as if they start to see we can't really punish them.
Readings tactics are clearly to let us come onto them and hit us on the break. It's working so far

They have 3 giants in the box against 1 giant. Why oh fkinn why do the float crosses in? Whip crosses in at waist height will cause problems. Need to get out of 1st gear

Mcatee is playing better than Ndiaye at the moment imho.

Also seen nothing to convince me Berge should be starting apart from one shot from outside the box.

But we're not losing so that's the main thing

On the Talksport 2 half time summary the said Sheff United playing well, look more threatening and clearly the better side.

Said Reading will be pleased because they've defended well and their tactic is to sit back and hit us on the break,
they said our defenders (especially Basham) look vulnerable to quick counter attacks.

Played some good stuff through the thirds but need more composure in the final passage

Think the team are aware their form has dropped and they're struggling to get out of the dip, become a little apprehensive. Similarly the fans are noticing and what we're seeing is all out frustration.

We are far far better than this, we know it, the team knows it, the staff know it but it's just not going well for us at the minute. Bit of a mental struggle for the squad this one I think.

Yep and I'm happy enough if we come out of this with a draw to settle the ship.

Just don't get countered on plz lads.

They need a decent win. A confident win. This is an ideal game to do it but we just look nervy the past couple months.

Once again, we just look lacklustre.

Hoping for some NDiye magic.

Come on!!!

I'm not saying he's having a terrible game, but when up against stronger / decent pro centre backs, McBurnie can be really ineffective and they seem to have his number. Though we do seem to play into it with repeat passages of play. He's getting fouled sometimes, but starts throwing himself around and the ref just ignores every one as a result. I know he's not a target man but even when getting balls into feet with your back to goal as a centre forward you've got to be able to hold them off, spin them or get a quick pass off. He'd have a field day against Bash though.

Lions share of possession as per usual and feck all to show for it. Sooner or later we are going to have to start having a plan B, plan C

Feels like we're just waiting for them to score on the break
