Hi all, just signed up to let you know that the Dummet rumour is expected to happen after the takeover completes. The source is my mate who knows him personally and told him you lads are his choice. He had several offers, including Saudi but a big factor is that Sheffield isn't too far away from Newcastle.

Should be a solid signing in this league, I've never thought he was good enough for the Prem, always looked like a cb playing as full-back to me. He has no real skill or pace and won't help much on the attacking side, but probably a good signing for you boys.

Wasn't meant as an insult mate, I think he'll be solid in the Championship, I'm a Sunderland supporter so not in a position to take this piss out of anyone. He's a defensive full back imo, like they used to be in the old days.

Only way I could see it is if we've lined up a deal to offload Trusty.
Birmingham are throwing money about in L1, maybe they're sniffing around?

It would be a shame, because I think this is Trusty's level and he could be very handy. Would rather him around the place than Trusty, but if we can get back the £5m we paid and can use it effectively elsewhere then it could make sense.

Per others, if we're not selling somebody, then we're already stocked in the areas Dummett plays. Makes no sense.
