Yes I found it incredibly offensive. He is perfectly entitled to think it and I didnt agree with a lot of what the caller said myself, but it was well out of order and I hope he makes an unprovoked apology as he seemed to refer to all United fans.

Called the blades fans Moronic and something else, the caller before was a complete arse but then Paul Walker behaved like a dick afterwards, lambasting Blades Fans.... a bit after he made a hasty try to reconile but still sounded like he was being a complete wanker in general.

I was on my way to work and to be honest I was pissed off with him, when I heard his comments.

I have to admit that i was amazed not only by the conduct of the presenters, who were almost ganging up on callers at times, but also by the way in which they continued to justify their actions as the show progressed.

I disagree with almost all of the people who call up the show but that kind of response by presenters on a BBC station is a first in my experience.

I would imagine that it won't be the last we shall hear of it.

I have to admit that i thoroughly enjoyed it if truth be told.

Walker is getting far too big for his boots ,he is now trying to rival Toby Foster in a morning with humour and just comes across as a sad nerdy wanker. Tonight he and Bennet (did you see the fat faced fucker on Latekickoff last night) went totally over the top and wouldn't listen to anything negative about Utd whether it was constructive or not.

Yep, all he's done is try to justify what he said. He clearly knows he's done wrong though. Very stubborn man who clearly thinks his radio career makes his opinion correct compared to everyone else. I and many other fans probably have a lot more football experience than Paul Walker and know more about our club so I think he needs to swallow his pride.

If he simply just came out and said "I apologise to Sheffield United fans, my comment was unfounded and was expressed in the heat of the moment" - I would accept that and forget about it. But as a Blade, I have to say I am quite offended at this moment in time

Gareth Evans the mid morning DJ on Radio Sheffield was sacked a couple of weeks ago for questioning a council over a parking ticket on air,insulting a massive proportion of your public could end in tears for Mr Walker.

Alternatively you can stick a metal bucket on your head and get somebody to hit it with a variety of wooden and metal objects. Wooden spoons make a slight pinging noise, mallets offer a rather satisfying clong, but for the top end of irritating noises that would almost make you yearn for the sounds of Paul, Seth and Andy nothing can beat sitting down with the bucket on as a friend pours two stone of large nuts and bolts from the top of a tall ladder onto it as you scream for more.

It almost makes Football Heaven sound good. Almost, but not quite.

What radio sheffield Wednesday fail to appreciate is that Blades fans have higher expectatiopns than Pigs, Dingles, Millers, rovers and chezzy fans because we could reallistically have been challenging for promotion this season, IF we had started the season with a balanced squad. No need to spend millions to play attractive attacking football. We have players who are capable of playing decent football (not Brazil/Arsenal/Barcelona style) but it is Blackwell who chooses that we do not most of the time.
THAT is the problem that most Blades fans have with Blackwell. He is only in the job now for one reason ...... because he will do exactly as the Board say without question and he is desperate to keep the job. Does anybody think for one moment that IF we were to sack him this week, he would be offered a job by any other Clubs in the top 2 divisions. I don't think so!

I blame McCabe for lying to us when he should have been big enough to stand proud and tell everyone the shit we were in. But he didn't and here we are.

I am happy that we have broadcasters who are big enough to stand up to the gobshites. To me thats what healthy debate is all about.
