Radio Sheffield tonight

Haven't listened to Radio Sheffield for about 3 years now. Was always the same.. Brian the blades, Brian the Rovrum fan 'ee by eck', that other Rovrum fan, the thick sounding miserable twat whose son was the Oracle. Donny fans always seemed alright, then the fckn deluded.. say no more. Staton always had a heavy pig bias. I miss it like I miss Dean Hammond. Switch it off. UTB

I fall asleep as soon as he starts talking that bloke. He always asks some weird question as well like "Andy, was Clarke-Harris on the bench on Saturday or did he start"... Andy Giddings "...well Brian, you did say you were there..."
 
I think the fact that the pigs are massively overperforming will naturally lead to many of them crawling out of the woodwork.

Imagine being a pig during our recent promotion seasons and the 9th placed PL season, I bet they thought the same.

I actually think we have a pretty balanced local radio team and they have a hard job to please everyone with 2 major teams and then the smaller teams dotted around the region.

Some of the callers are idiots but they can’t invent calls, if you’ve got something sensible to say and want people to hear it then call in, it might just take up the 10 mins that would normally go to the pitsmoor scrubber or mick the pig.

I know, you’re right but as I said I have it on just to see if there is any nuggets about us especially with the new ownership just coming on board and the window being open but it’s really frustrating when he’s presenting talking about the pigs. Easy remedy when he’s on I’m off simples. I’ve had my moan, it’s off my chest 👍🏼

Same here mate it was always 80% pig who think they are Barcelona .I think it must be 4 or 5 years since i tuned in and must say i have not missed it in the slightest , Does not cross my mind now to switch it on .

Go on Owlstalk and many accuse Radio. Sheffield of being totally Sheff United bias and refuse to tune in.

There’s even been threads saying Ron Staton is anti Sheff Wednesday the way he slags off SWFC and Chansiri, always trying to stir up trouble at their club. Again tonight he was insisting that he doubts Chansiri will spend anything and the Rohl is likely to leave.

And many Owls accuse Giddings of being anti Sheff Wed because he always seems more excited and over celebratory when the opposition score against Wednesday.

Just shows how you can’t please some people no matter what you do. I find they are often biased towards the team performing better and having more success.

Danny Hall on the co-comms has been a good change to Rob Kozluk recently, he’s changed his style from being an enthusiastic fan the first couple of times to offering a bit of insight.
