Or maybe he knows subconsciously that there is only one team in Sheffield worthy of that title. Considering he also played for the pork then it tells me he thinks they are irrelevant. I'm always quite happy for others to refer to SUFC as Sheffield. Cos we are THE Sheffield team (professional wise anyway).

He favours Leeds much more than us & works quite often on their commentaries. And yes - He’s a twat….endorsed by a lot of Huddersfield fans up here after being a knob whilst working for them as Sporting Director - he was hopeless at that for them. So I’d ignore anything he says.

Same for me. I generally think that the use of “Sheffield” shows up a bit of ignorance more than anything else. But it also highlights the reality that only one side in Sheffield has had relevance to most football watchers in the country for the past decade or so. And that’s quite funny.
