Why have the three morons that present P & G and Football Heaven decided to castigate anyone who rings up and dares to criticise either United or Blackwell. We had fans on tonight who having made the long journey down to Swansea only to be served up with the usual dross ring up to grumble yet shouted down by that idiot Paul Walker!
All three Walker, bennett and Giddings (the worst of the lot) going on about how fickle Unitedites are and that they have no right to criticise either the team or Blackwell!
Perhaps we should rename the programme Praise or Praise and also why do they allow the same idiots from whichever team to come onto the show night after night coming out with the same drivel!

I don't have access to Radio Sheffield so couldn't listen, but I'd be surprised if they said fans have no right to criticise the team. If they merely pointed out that plenty of Unitedites are incredibly fickle, take every opportunity to moan and rarely praise the team, and make a single defeat sound like the Apocalypse, then they had got a point.

A fan of the s6 rubbish phoned ma about P&G last night, he said it was almost war between Paul Walker and the Blades fans last night. Unfortunalty programmes like P&G give a voice to the most disgruntled and sometimes opinionated folk. I estimate that overall no more than about 10-20 Blades supporters call in, and its the same people each week.

That said if we were poor in areas of our play yesterday they surely have a right to grumble, I didnt go, but my impression is we were unprofessional.

I started to listen to P&G last night and was embarrassed to be a Blade, I turned it off after the first few Blades. Radio Sheff were spot on.

One caller who went to Swansea basically said that because he went all the way to Wales, then United should've rewarded him by winning. Tosser

I don't know why, its probably because we've had one season in the PL and spent cash on Strikers. But some Blades believe that we should just turn up and roll any team over. Rubbish. Every team is fighting to win every game.

We're going to have bad days and of course i'm not saying that United shouldn't be criticised, thats the point of P & G.

But to come on and just slag a manager when we're top 6 and still in touch with the leaders then its just ridiculous. If we go on a dodgy run of 5, 10 defeats then fair play come on and whinge.

But to blame Radio Sheffield for trying to wake up a few Blades fans?

I think that the underlying problem that we have is because year after year, we end up the nearly men, not quite good enough and attract bad luck like we have a curse.

Our fans are very impatient (myself included!). We never seem to up the anti and actually get the success that we promise.
It seems to the fans that lessons are never learned, so that we can push on and fulfill the promises and even get a slice of luck along the way.
We are all pissed off that we blew promotion....then the play-offs. We have to suffer another season of highs and lows before we get another chance.
To most fans it seems that by trimming the squad to bare bones and STILL sticking to tactics that worked better with personnel that have left (BT. etc), that we are on a slide (even if we are 6th!!). We have worries that the club is starting to go backwards and a fear of promotion evading us yet again.....more heartbreak.
As for having no parachute payments...well, why put us all through a court case over Tevez, building the hopes of all our fans that we will be in a position to compete.....then let it all seemingly disappear into a black hole. Even at so much per year, it would ease the loss of the parachute money.

What Paul Walker can't take on board are our fears, and that we should be grateful to be 6th, and what right have we to criticise?
The fans slating Blackie and demanding his resignation are being well over the top, but for PW to slag any Blade who dares to criticise is VERY annoying, to the point where I can't be arsed to listen anymore.

Didn't listen to P&G last night - rarely do, these days TBH - but my wife did on her way back from Hillsborough and told me that Paul Walker was embarrassing; literally shouting over callers' comments. It does seem strange to give fans a stage and an audience, encourage a praise or a grumble, but then effectively censor their opinion if the presenter doesn't agree.

I went to Derby the other week. The weather was perfect, the ground looked well and I was looking forward to watching a good match. Ok so the match wasn't too good and we won, but what spoilt the match for me was the man sat near me who ranted from the start of the match until I couldn't hear him after we had scored the goal. He didn't have a good word to say about anybody. The team was rubbish, the manager was rubbish, the ref was a mate of a 'piggy',the femail linesperson was a lesbian (!) and when Cotterill started warming up he had a go at him. This tirade was accompanied by prolific swearing, despite the fact he was sat with his young family and ( I presume) wife/partner.He wasn't a young bloke either as he admitted to being 50, so you couldn't blame youthful excess.
Why go to a match, spend all that money and then spew forth such negativity?
You go to watch Utd and you never know what you may see, but to spend the entire match ( and believe me it was) yelling such venom is beyond me.

Are you for real For gods sake take off those rose coloured specs and smell the coffee. If all you desire is a top six finish and another massive let down at Wembley then you deserve Blackwell and Ellis The point of forums such as these and P&G is to air differing views and opinions not to universally acclaim the management for being in the top six. With the players at his disposal we should be challenging the top two not down with the also rans such as Watford and Blackpool.
If the rule is (according to Messrs Walker, Bennett and Giddings) how dare anyone criticise a manager whose team is in 6th place despite the money ploughed into the team but the team is in a position that Rotherham, Barnsley, Chesterfield, Doncaster and Wendy aspire to then perhaps I'm in the wrong. I think the Blades should be where Stoke, Burnley, Bolton, Wigan, Wolves, Birmingham City, Wet Sham, Hull City are playing their football!!!

I really don't understand why people like this go to games. I had someone similar just behind me at Derby and at Wembley after five minutes. If they don't enjoy what's on offer - DON'T GO!!!

Fiery has a point. I think everybody has made good points on here but those Radio Sheffield presenters are tossers. Unless I'm mistaken they're all in their 20s or early 30s, very coy (understandably) about their individual club loyalties and adopt a very haughty, condescending superior attititude to callers. Without callers they wouldn't have a programme. Last night a chap in his 70s phoned in to criticise the team and the presenter treated him very badly.

The bit that sickens me is the grovelling obsequious way they speak to managers and players when inteviewing them. The presenters clearly look down their noses at fans but turn all sheepish and hand wringing to the professionals you can almost sense them touching their forelock
