Excellent Sean, you gave him his proper title and I know exactly what you mean
He'd get my vote as the saddest case on there, although Brian the Blade's a contender, as is his namesake Miller.
And if Kevin the Blade's reading this, please try and construct a full sentence before you start to say it, so that you don't, errrrrrrrrr, need to, ummm, give yourself thinking, errrrummm, time whilst speaking. Thank you![]()
As an "outsider" now of W Yorks, I would say that Jonathan Buchan is the best one they have, you can tell he's not got any affinity with any teams in the region, but he's knowlegeable and personable. Andy Giddings is ok, a bit dull and Rob Staton does sound very much like he has grunter tendencies.
As someone who only listens on the way back from games, I find FH enjoyable in short bursts, gives you a sense of "home" - though I can still pick R. Sheffield up at our house there's no way I'd listen during the week and I can't really believe people do!
FFS! Waiting to hear the Wilder interview & all I'm hearing is a procession of one weeping Rovrum fan after another.
Convinced me ,maybe we should call it Bladio SheffieldTotally agree. I think the show is usually dominated by who is doing badly at the time because when fans are unhappy they're more likely to moan and ring up then when things are well because that's just human nature. We've probably all experienced similar things at work from bosses! You only get feedback when something is wrong, or is that just me!
Radio Sheffield don't stop callers of one club calling and quite frankly its extremely small minded to blame them for being biased to Wednesday on the basis of them having more callers of late because they'e playing crap.
I'm sure we debated the Radio Sheffield bias only a few weeks ago and again not long before that!? If we keep moaning about this it just makes us look like we have chips on our shoulders?
Why are we so bothered if Rob Staton is a pig fan? We know also that Paul Walker is a Blade and so were other presenters down the years so is Ronnie Robinson, not that he does Football Heaven. Radio Sheffield are also based on Shoreham Street which I know doesn't mean a bias to us but it does mean they are closer to United geographically then the Pigs.
They split their coverage generally between United and Wednesday with the "smaller" local clubs getting the remaining coverage on medium wave. I recall having managers specials for United as well as Wednesday when we sacked someone in pre-season and appointed a new manager etc when there is not normally Football Heaven. That's my views and if anyone can prove a genuine bias I'd be interested to hear on what basis.
Yes youre a punter on a forum ,hes the most powerful person in the worldDifference being he's smart with money.. and very little else..
Complete opposite to me
Was just thinking that, "Radio Suicidal Miller" toneet...

admitted Halifax town fanDat Rob Staton's a right Pig
Not heard the chap , that nearly bust my radio with his COME ON YOU RED AND WHITE WIZAAAAAARDS . For a while , I Liked him was his stage name Jason ?
admitted Halifax town fan
Jon Buchanan is from the same area so could be anything from Leeds downwards in that area
Andy Giddens - who cares.
I like the show for the commentaries
During the week, people who need help call in, but that's a social service, don't knock it.
Mick the rawmarsh pig is my personal non-favourite - a total pompous twat who loves the sound of his own voice, but there are plenty to compete with him including that arsehole miller (brian/paul ?)
Love 2-1 ken the blade, quite a quirky funny blade
Also have a soft spot for shaun the blade who 's clearly a top class fan, home and away, and has gone from a bit of wrist slitter (late clough and Adkins) to having a reight good time, bless him
