If QPR play Reading at Loftus Road, QPR may be required to wear their away kit.

Why?

Rumour has it that they have a royal warrant to play in their first kit at all times.

This is an urban myth, I think.

On a similar theme, name the last teams to win (1) the league (2) the FA Cup and (3) the league cup playing in striped shirts as a first choice kit.

Which is why I said "rumour has it", it is indeed complete bollocks.

Do Blackburn's halved shirts count? If not, the league cup one might well be Wednesday. FA Cup - Southampton?

The League Cup team is Wednesday in 1991. The FA Cup team isn't Southampton.

I wouldn't classify halves as stripes - you have to go further back.

Assuming Soton weren`t wearing stripes in 75-76, Sunderland 72-73...

On the League, the last team to win the "Football League" in stripe would be Newcastle, last season. Assuming "top-flight" its probably Sunderland in 35-36, unless there was an odity (Everton/Liverpool wearing stripes!!) somewhere since then.

Sunderland in 1936 is right for the league title.

The FA Cup is Coventry in 1987 - they were in one of their occasional sky blue and white striped home kits that year.

None of them are - the first two are full place names so would have to be Port Vale xxxxxxxx and Crystal Palace xxxxxxx to count.

The third is an amalgamation of Rushden Town and Irthingborough Diamonds so is just plain weird and would make more sense with a United on the end - as would everything in life :-)

They used to be called Burslem Port Vale, so you could be generous and allow Port or more likely, Vale as a suffix, although I think that Port Vale was a geographical location, which kind of knocks that argument on the head.....

what is taken to the fa cup final every year but never used? which premier or football league ground is the highest above sea level?
