What with his booking and suspension for the Hartlepool game will that be the last time that we see Quinny in a Blades shirt?

Nah.

Nice to see him back on form though. Some lovely touches.

Thought he had a very good game today. Well done Quinny. Deserves a bit of a break anyway (to keep him fresh and challenging for his place) so his suspension comes at a good time - plus he might get chance to go home for a few days over New Year...

I really hope so, he contributes nothing, can only use one foot. Over rated expensive luxury item. Notice he didnt come over to the kop at the end kissing the badge!!!

Quinns useless flicks generated at least 2 gilt edged chances today.

Did you not notice Richard Cresswell (74) sprinting about 60 yards past him in to help Quinns full back ? Notice how Lowton was having a nightmare until Quinn was replaced on the right wing by Flynn ? Only for LJF LCL DHS or whatever to suffer the same fate. Notice how our corners and free kicks are suddely a threat instead of the front defenders forehead now he has been relieved of them > He is a cheat to the fans and his team mates and I think our form is not due to him but in spite of him ,we will be in a great position if we can replace him with quality next month.

some harsh words sitwell, there was plenty of times quinny has been the ONLY one trying and during early games this season wasnt he touted as "the ginger messi" ?
there will alays be one or two players used as scape goats (see collins and simmo) but maybe a break is what he needs, to come back a little refreshed and focused.
thats not to say if we could swap him for such as Clark i wouldnt be happy, but like monty he has been a great servant of the club and deserves a little slack dont you think?
7 games on the trot "in spite" of the quinn factor means perhaps we should stop knocking certain players and get behind them ALL even the ones we may not like or rate.

Don't get this 'great servant' stuff ,but my main rub with Quinn is the fact that he is capable of being a good player ,he has the ability but shirks and cheats his way through games. Just try watching him in isolation ,he makes it look like he's giving everything but he hides constantly.

He is totally useless.

Didn't see the game then yesterday? We'd have ran out comfortable winners had McDonald and Cresswell tucked away the chances Quinny created for them.

Don't buy that at all sitters. i watched him closely yesterday and he always made himself available. Isn't that one of people's main griefs with him, that he gets pulled out of position too much because he's going after the ball?

I think Quinn is easily swayed by good and bad comment. The early season praise affected is game and he bagan to overuse the flick ons and such. I really can't see how he can be acussed of cheating us. For me he's always looking for the ball and always puts on a shift.

As I've said before, there's a reason that those actually paid to have an opinion rate him as one of the few we have of worth.

Nah,

The last time we see Quinn in a Blades shirt is at home to Scunthorpe. We will get the same usual crap from the board saying we don't need to sell, Quinn wants to stay with us until the end to the season etc etc then at 11pm on transfer deadline day we find that he has gone for 300k and get all the same excesses that have been dished out for the past few years: it was an offer we couldn't refuse, we couldn't stand in the way of the player playing for a bigger team (Blackpool) etc etc then we will get the same comments from before when we don't sign anyone to replace Quinn i.e there is no out-there who is better than we have already got, the load window will be open next week etc etc

also great servant' stuff is just a load of balls. Would you expect someone in your work to be let of lightly if he / she is not pulling their weight just because they have been working there for 5+ years

Did he turn you down or something.. Did he not fancy a slice, your hatred of Quinn comes overf a bit wrong

Can't get over the amount here who thinks Quinny hides, cheats or doesn't pull his weight. He has his bad days like everyone else but to me always plays like he gives a shit. Pity a few of the prima donnas we've had in his position in the past (some of them big fan favorites) didn't do likewise. (Yes Hodges and Lake you both fall into that category)

There's all the difference in the world between the intelligent, creative, purposeful touches that we saw against Notts and the aimless, futile flicks of his evil twin brother Elpiton. Quinn, frustrating though he can be, is a proper footballer. The former semi-pro, non-league, reserve goalie very nearly ruined him. We now have a proper manager and it shows.

All the time you slagged him off, you never once said he could grow to be a good footballer. Now you realise his potential! Just goes to show your limitation of thought when it comes to football.

He wont go to Blackpool, that would possibly be the worst hair/shirt clash there has ever been..

2 months ago I thought him going would be a disaster but now of the high earners him and Monty would be the best ones to go

At the time I 'slagged him off' he was utterly useless: a complete liability. With the assistance of a decent manager he has changed for the better. It's certainly not a case of 'told you so'!

For the avoidance of doubt, look how The Maestro is tumbling down the pecking order now we've got a manager who understands proper football. Hallelujah!

No one said owt like 'I told you so'. It just goes to show though that you judge these players as commodities and have no thought towards them as a person. Thats not sympathy its just common respect.

needs to keep his gob shut more when the refs about, the booking against county was totally un-necessary.

He needs to keep his gob shut more full stop. I have never seen a player whinge and bitch at his own team mates so much. The way he scrunches up his ginger face and sticks his neck out drives me crackers.

Aye, relegated to the bench for a few games after injury. You've so clearly been vindicated.

Yes, I have. The results and standard of football speak volumes.

Significantly, Jonny Ertl has been preferred from the bench in the last two games.

All the signs are there. The release of Nelson Mandela and the fall of the Berlin Wall will pale into insignificance compared to our imminent and momentous deliverance.

I know it hurts but I'm sure we can buy you a new mediocrity in the January sales.

I'm all for us selling Monty in January Pinchy. It seems in your determintion to see things in only one way, you often miss what's being said.
