You was whinging about the doom if we didn't go up and now we are your still whinging because we have gone up
Misrepresenting again. I gave my reasons and yet you glibly throw whinging at me. I’ve said what I need to say on this thread and you can all chew on it and come August don’t say how bad he is for spending next to nothing. I’ll leave you in peace.

This whole thread looks like it was made by SkeeterBlade. You refuse to speak in anything but riddles like some sort of lunatic pirate. If we spend anything I'll be happy, if we broke bank I'd be worried. We haven't all got our heads in the sand regarding the Princes ownership you know.

If we spent £20m, got a few decent loans and kept 90% of the current squad I'd be happy. Also wouldn't mind £10m being spent on infrastructure and £10m servicing existing debt. But I think that's unlikely. I have very few expectations beyond using the prem money to ensure the club continues to exist

Andy67,don’t expect to come on the forum and not get pelters with your comments, from what I’ve seen they are inflammatory and supposed itk wind ups, recently you said he was pulling money out,not saying now that up to £30million could be pumped in . Could just afford Baz Bannan with that amount of cash 💰

I’ll be back when you’re all whinging when you’ll be lucky if £30m is spent (very lucky)
Its hard to take on information like this when people were saying the exact same the last time we got promoted (this was during the Supreme Court Case over our ownership also). We then went on to spend way more than expected (and not very well may I add). It may well be true but im so used to people talking worst case scenarios to the point where I cant believe atleast half the shit people are talking about. UTB ⚔️

In fairness I’m not sure many think it’ll be much more than that. We’re on the whole realistic about what to expect
Well I read the mood wrong then thought that people expect more than 20ish.

I don’t think many people are bowling around this forum talking about how much money we’re going to be spending next year. You’re obviously close to someone inside the club but starting a new thread about how little money we’ve got to spend is anything but insightful.

I think most people are just glad that promotion means we've avoided going into administration (if that suggestion is to be believed).

Plenty of threads on here about transfer strategy this summer Andy, and very few are discussing spending tens of millions.

It depends really because it makes them know saying Gyorkes means skint. I suppose the good thing about rumours for players is we can dream and it gives people something to get excited about in the summer.

I think that many of us are wary of falling foul of spending big money on players who don’t make the impact hoped for like last time. I for one really don’t expect anything other than a battle against relegation next season. Obviously if it isn’t then fantastic but if we do go down we have to sensibly reset the finances so that we don’t replicate the issues we have seen this year.

Brighton made a profit of 80m and look like finishing top 6.

So all depends how it gets spent.

I don't reckon we'll spend over 20-30m but then again, what's the issue. That's not to say we can't improve the team.

Wasn’t expecting us to spend that much to tell the truth if princey is still here

30mil?? That's more than 6 Anels! That'll do me! 😎
That's exactly it, a couple of shrewd signings and a marque signing with 2 or 3 decent loans would be a success, providing recruitment is better than last time round. Think we all forget that on paper, our squad is much better than it was last time we were in the prem. I'm more worried about outgoings than incomings

He will be and you are a realist. Maybe you can save me time responding to rumours we are buying players over 10 million.

I agree but much as I think recruitment is great(Anel) They are not magicians

Great recruiting Doyle and Macatee but not sure we can pull these out of the bag.

Discussed this on Saturday, bit complicated by loan signings and players who were younger and had not reached the ceiling in their capability.

If you take players like Brewster, Jebbison and RND, all three have shown in their last few games with us that they have quality. If Brewster and RND can get over their injuries, and Jebbison can continue to improve and show the same form as he did against Preston, that's 3 valuable additions to the side. Add this to Berge, Anel, Baldock, Egan, Ndiaye.

If we can keep these players and have them performing at their best, we need 3 first teamers from recruitment and a few more for competition, we could do that with loans without spending any money.

Spending money really needs to focus on adding depth and quality with the above as a baseline to work up from

Not as simple as all you stated but seems good. If part of this came good, part that is central to it, the rest you could try to work with. We need more pace and athleticism for how we need to adapt to the league.

If we can keep Baldock, Egan, RND, Anel, Berge and Ndiaye and they all play 30+ games then I think we have a chance. Feels like a pretty large if though.
