I'd say yes, as things stand. Very, very, very little proven experience and no current form or fitness. Inexcusable.

To score goals you need to create where is the creativity when players come in they have to make an immediate impact. They need to be in the Anel category. Even aside of Illy leaving just look at the midfield. Imagine the meltdown if Berge also leaves. Only SUFC could mess up this badly.. shakes his head in disbelief

Where's the creativity when midfielders throughout pre-season have continually passed backwards under no pressure when we're on the counter attack. We might well keep possession but we do nothing with it other than break up our own attack. Slimane and Berge are the only two not guilty of this and highlight why we cannot start the season with one of Fleck, Norwood or Osborn alongside them. But we all know Hecky will start Norwood as he loves his favourites.

Most likely Slimane, Berge plus one, hopefully a new signing but that's unlikely. Even if we sign someone will they be match fit and will Hecky play them straight away? It's likely to be Osborn or Norwood. I'd prefer it not to be Norwood as Berge has played his role better in pre-season.

Just been saying the same to my lad, it is very sheffield united to let berge and iliman go in the same window, if he also leaves for peanuts which lets face it is a possibility we are screwed. But if you put yourself in berges shoes this morning he is waking up at a club who have sold their best player less than two weeks before the start of the season i would be suprised if he didnt ask to leave aswell

Our only available strikers going in to a Premier League season, are two young lads who have just proven themselves not good enough at Championship level yet. I don't even need to do any research to know that's the worst strike force that any team has started with.

We just have to hope that we sign someone decent and Traore comes good when he's eventually available. It will look different at the end of the window (although it still won't be good enough).

Norwood needs to be nowhere near a starting 11.

I have had a feeling for some time that we will offer Billy a new contract. There has to be a reason he has not taken up offers from other clubs. The number 10 shirt is now available. That doesn't mean I think it is a good idea Just i can see it happening.

I mentioned on Shoutbox last night that I was told this at the weekend by a mate of mine who has a relative who's good mates with Billy. I laughed my head off at the time but I can see it happening now.
