Kevin McCabe can not afford to a club trying to gain promotion to the premier league.

I wonder how you will react if we end up like Fulham with 3 victories out of 20 games, maybe you will be fine because they have spent £100 million in transfer fees.

QPR are our next opponents at home.

Look at their budget if big budgets are the most impressive thing about a club

The Loftus Road side's overall debt increased to £177.1m, up from £91.4m in the 2012 accounts.

Championship clubs losing more than £8m in 2013-14 will be subject to sanctions under Financial Fair Play (FFP) rules.

With a decent budget we could be as big a club as Sunderland, look at the money they have spent lost

Used to be a time when people followed a local club because it was exactly that.

Now some can only follow a club that spends more millions than other clubs. I thought it was the preserve of the deluded in the Rust Bucket but it appears to be wider spread.

That's why Billy Sharp is seen as 'average' by some because we did not spend £ 10 million to buy him.

#crazyfuckedupworld.

Eh what ?
All I’m saying is McCabe has spent nowt and we’d still be in league one without wilder.

How much money did we spend last summer?

The championship is completely different to what it was ten years ago

Don’t think you quite understand what I’m saying ?
I’m staying that we need an owner who’s willing to spend 3/4 million on a couple of players not a qpr villa

And no Norwood and Egan do not count as they have been financed by player sales that money didn’t come from the owners.

If someone comes in and bids 10 mill for Jack O’Connell he’s gone

You do know we have Co owners right?

I do , hopefully they’ll have both f*** off after this summer
But McCabe the root cause of it all he appoints the managers he picked a dodgy prince and gave him the chance to buy the club

McCabe only become reinterested now we’ve got a chance of promotion why do you think that there was a clause for the prince to buy the club

The clause was for either to buy the club.

Yes. He appointed Wilder. Great move.

Quote from Chris Wilder September 2018.

"There is funds still there (for January)," he said. "There will be money available if needed. "If we need to use it, we will. If we don't, then we won't. Really, it's as simple as that."

Yeah one good appointment out of 5/6

We’d be nailed on for promotion with half the investment most teams have in this league.

Why do you think wilder mentions it every interview he has ?

It doesn’t count then?

The owners don’t have that kind of money so it’s no good banging on about why they haven’t spent it.

Wilder has made several differing statements. Personally I only expect loans but unlike you l haven’t thrown the towel in.

Regarding McCabes “reinterrst” you’re a year out and it was due to lack of further investment by HRH and the attempt to foist a DoF on Wilder, which CW wasn’t having. Maybe you can give KMc a bit of credit for Wilder still being here?

Beyond provid
A few weeks ago I was told that Mcabe had had serious talks with a contact in China about atakeover.
This was given to me by a pal who had been told this from an old gentleman who has contacts at the lane, I also know this gentleman, I saw him before the Blackburn game and quized him about it, he wouldn't go into detail but said unless something major happens to ruin it it will be happening , he doesn't know if is it to buy out Mcabe but possibly so, but definitely the Prince, he/they also has "a wall of money" to invest.

I know the link with China is an old and obvious one but because I know this fella and his contacts I found it interesting and I believe him, with your contacts at the Lane Danny I wondered if you had heard anything similar,or for that matter Foxy or anybody else.

I am not in the know and like everyone else we hear stuff which I dont bother with but on this occasion I thought I would share it and ask you as I feel there maybe something in it?

I`ll try again. Beyond providing conversation fodder, does anyone really think there`s any true mileage in this ?

All I’ll say is the main leak at the Lane was silenced some months ago. Plus U’dxexpect any dealings like that to be dealt with by the NcCabe family and Scarborough’s team for that very reason.

I was surprised by the tie-up with the Prince (especially the 50-50). I was expecting a Chinese input if any investor was to be found. Hence I am a little cynical when reading this OP.

I see all the usual suspects are defending McCabe, there's a reyt chance of promotion this season (as there was this time last year) and now is the time (great position in the league, very good manager that the players and the fans believe in, good set of players and team ethic) to take a sensible punt on giving Wilder the funds and give us the best chance of securing one of the promotion slots. They took £12m on Brooks, who we didn't need to sell, at the very least why isn't that being re-invested into new players in areas where Wilder things we need improving.

All the club apologists who make excuses for the powers that be at the Lane you're just as culpable as successive chairman and boards that have ensured that SUFC have regularly punched well below their weight.

What, I haven’t propped the club up to the tune of several million pounds per season, soz mate.

Though the reason WE did not need to sell was because WE do not own club.

In the same way that when WE go to the pictures to see a film WE neither own the picture house or the company who made the film.

If the film we watch is shit WE cannot say that WE should have made a better movie.

WE are seeing the best football WE have seen in probably 30 years.

Enjoy.

Happy new year.
