Is anyone else suffering the same fate as me? The sponsor logo looks a right mess after just three washes. It was slightly chipped at after just one.

Do I have any right to return it? For comparison, last season's shirt is still pretty much mint after a year's worth of washing.

Edit: it doesn't look that terrible in the thumbnail, but it does when blown up and it certainly does IRL :(

Just check.....are you using fabric softener?

If so...don't. That might be the reason, however if done the same as the other shirt them maybe worth dropping it in to the store and asking. There are bound to be some faulty goods in a mass produced item.

Just buy a new one when its on sale for a tenner next week

Wash it inside out and inside a pillow case.

Obs put all that lot into a washing machine.

Obs not the Bolton player.

Is that fool proof enough?

They aught to give you the option to buy a version of the kit without the sponsor logos on. They look fucking ridiculous, especially the door deals thing printed on the back, just ruins the kit
What do you think about that, eh Foxy ?

My alpharooms logo has eventually cracked a bit but I've got an adidas Bayern shirt from a few years ago and the logo is still perfect so there's obviously a higher quality printing process available that adidas' elite teams get!

If the material that the sponsor is made from isn't bone-dry before you put it away, it'll crack. It's tricky because even though the shirt feels dry, the logos might not be.

I took my shirt from last year off the line too early and thought it'd be fine. The DoorDeals sponsor ont back now says Do eals (sorry, Foxy)

Wash it inside out at 30 degrees (or 40 if your Gary Madine doesn't have a 40 setting).

Don't use fabric conditioner either.

I've never had that happen to any football shirt I've ever had.

I have to hand wash my United shirts....
Back to the topic. it's the same material, the quality won't be any different, just not been very lucky when washing this time. Personally I'd prefer the shirts with out the sponsor on.

Thank you to everyone advising me how to launder the shirt, I'll just pop back in my time machine and utilise that advice. You'll also notice last season's shirt is totally unblemished despite a whole year of me washing in exactly the same fashion as the new one, but whatevs.

I see the latest from The Swine even 'runs' at 30deg.

Photo from River Don.

That logo will colour in with black marker pen & be as good as new.
Doesn't come close to the humiliation of having a pink & red striped Admiral shirt vintage 75/76 season after first wash.
Cheers Mum.
That was probably due to us having one of these & Mum having some sort of compulsion to boil everything to death.... hence the use of wooden tongs to handle anything that made it out alive ......

Washing it inside out is a good tip, I do and they do last longer, but the logo thing will still crop up after a while.

The 'fly emirates' on my pink Real Madrid top is suffering the same fate, sadly. Fuckin beauty of a shirt it is n all

OOOOoooh, touchy. What did you expect? You're lucky you haven't had relationship advice or been told what party to vote for in the next election. (Yet).
