3 points I think everyone really needed. Better performance but not great by any means. They were poorer than I'd expect but we did enough.

The penalty was dubious at best but it's unusual to get the rub of the green so happily take it.

Worrying about McGoldrick.

Much improved, but still plenty of room for improvement.

Very fortunate with the penalty but I’ll take anything at the moment.

Get in. Watched it on the stream. Was a scrappy game and QPR were very poor, but better from us. I’ll take that every of day the week at the minute.

Get in, extra time managed very well by us there, a good victory & signs we are getting there, I am a happy bunny.

A decent end to an up and down week.

Being a Blade is never boring thats for sure!!

Now let's get a quality striker in on loan!!

Basicleh, we were average but probably shaded most of the game, and got a very important win from a game we couldn't afford to lose.

And most of all.....

BLADES WIN IN LONDON, BLADES WIN IN FUCKING LONDON!

And just to cheer everyone up a bit further, a massive 23k at the sty. Totally irrelevant to this thread, but why not.

Great movement and a killer shot with both feet. Won’t be at QPR in the new year..

Literally had 6 or 7 powerful shots. He's fucking dynamite. Quick and direct. Very dangerous player.

With him in the squad they might be more willing to let Freeman go. So it might be better for us if they keep him in January.

Can see why QPR rejected the Freeman bid. Vintage instinct goal by Sharpy. Course there’s still work to do but that was a big performance on the road, one we should all be proud of. UTMFB

All about the 3 points...Watching on the stream it looked scrappy...didn't look like a pen,but who cares, glad to come out with a win.

12th in the table, 3 points from 3 games including 2 away, I know you can do what you want with stats but thats looks ok, things change so quickly at this time of the season, what was mcgoldricks injury, does it look a bad one?

Important win that as I feel this season these games against sides who are going to be in and around the bottom six are the ones we have to target

The top six or eighth are probably going to have too much quality for us this season so these are crucial to get something from

Good win, and it was really needed. Everyone feels a bit better today, we got a win, we got a bit of luck with the penalty apparently.
But we need to get some speed in the side, speed of thought, we need a couple of players whose first thought is how to get forward and cause problems because those that were doing it last season have stopped doing it for some reason

Basham absent again, it’s playing with 10mem when he’s in the team.

Terrible footballer, not been Championship quality for 2 seasons now.

Then Ched scores for Fleetwood....get him back.
You either watched a different game to the rest of us or just don’t like Bash full stop. I thought he had a very good game

Summary...

We were on top before slack defending and a good finish put QPR ahead. We were then all over the place for a good few mins till we got back on the ball, Duffy finding a great Freeman run, and delivering well to Sharp.

2nd half we started well, were on top again. Sharp (who had played well but was clearly tiring) went off to utterly embarrassing boos from our end. Immediately McGoldrick was pushed in the box and finished the pen.

After that we managed the game well to conclusion.

It was a good performance, a confidence-boosting one, and we looked much more like our old selves.

Ratings...

Henderson 8/10 – made some really good saves, claimed everything, slowed things down when needed. Good on the ball for short-range stuff. Appalling long distribution - aiming for Clarke and sending towards Sharp or the stand.

Freeman 7/10 – made the goal with a super run and cross. We need more of that from our wingbacks. Otherwise got into good positions. Some uncomfortable moments defensively.

Stevens 6.5/10 – similar game to Freeman, but with a poorer end product. Thought he did better than the Swansea game.

Stearman, Egan, O’Connell 7/10 – got better as the game wore on.

Fleck 7/10 – again, better than the Swansea game, and at times very good. Still getting caught in possession a bit too often for my liking.

Basham 8.5/10 – thought he was excellent throughout. Body on the line for everything, he tackled, he passed, he drove forward with the ball. Wasn’t expecting him to be our best player, but he was.

Duffy 8/10 – good to see him back in, and he had a key influence on the game in releasing Freeman on the goal. Was otherwise his busy self.

Sharp 7/10 – decent game, linked well, pressed high, but tried to do too much on other occasions, had one chance all game and crucially took it.

Clarke 6/10 – not a great game, but not an especially poor one either. Was presented with a glorious gift from a misplaced pass and did nothing with it. Like Sharp, pressed well, but too often his touch let him down or he seemed too slow to react. Forced the keeper into one decent save 2nd half. Almost provided a chance to QPR after being cheaply caught in possession.

Subs
McG – rightly subbed on as Sharp was visibly tiring (a minority of our fans idiotically booed the decision) and immediately won the penalty and the game. Was struggling after one knock and then subbed after another.

Woodburn – subbed on for Duffy but played in a different role (he and McG played slightly behind and either side of Clarke). Had a couple of decent touches to release players, but was also muscled off a couple of times. Helped to conclude the game.

Leonard – came on for McG and was one of his better cameos. V unlucky with a run and shot.

Wilder 10/10 – right XI started, right subs made.

Fantastic win, it was never going to be pretty today, especially once at 2 - 1 and holding on but massive win, and the first is always the most important.

Huge credit to the 1,900 fans who went there. Great support and hope they all have a safe journey.
