Reading that reminded me of what we're saying about Ched but without the baggage !

Wells and Hemed should have been the kind of players we were in for to take us on a level. Even Lee Gregory would have been better than Washington. I’ll back him, as I do any signing, but it’s underwhelming if this is all that’s coming in up front.

Am I the only one excited about this signing? Maybe its the bran flakes I had this morning but I think he could really well for us with the way we play.

Talk about a mixed bag!

Welcome CW (the player;) )

A struggling QPR sign Wells we take there 4th. Choice striker? I admit I don't know enough about Washington but it does sound a bit like we cannot bring our targets in so better get anybody, I bet Chris comes on and says he has been on the radar for some time and delighted to finally get his man.

Wilder says:

Conor ticks a lot of boxes in what we are looking for at the top of the pitch, he's got pace, power and works hard, a good fit for us.

He’s not good. He works hard but lacks sharpness of movement. Can’t finish. Can’t dribble one v one. Very weak left foot. Too small to win aerial duels. Unlucky, no confidence ..he is a smart lad and a team player and does dirty work”

Bloody Hell. We'e re-signed Dean Hammond LOL

I feel oddly optimistic by their largely negative opinions. Currently on morphine and convinced I can levitate though.

Na, the drug that is Wilder is responsible

Does he run around then?

According to the QPR fans, a lot of endeavour, brave, even fast, but the return on goals is less than hoped for.

Maybe a change of scenery might be the positive move the player needs, and there'll be no complaints about our midfield delivery, so finger's crossed Conor finds favour with us Blades.

Feel exactly the same. Given past experience with fans opinions on players we've signed, watch him score on his debut

“I think Washington will do well there, there already set up with quick forwards in Sharpe and Clarke so he will just fit in. Probably score 10 goals there now he has left us"

Is he taking the piss?
that’s how other teams see us mate .. they’re terrified of leon and billy
remember the comments about Flecky? Wilder’s pulled another rabbit..

“It’s pretty difficult to write anything about Washington without being horribly negative, especially after all the awful games I’ve sat through where high balls have been pumped in his general direction. I keep thinking about all the things he can’t do:
– not tall and physical enough to get anywhere near the high balls
– not skillful enough to create something out of nothing"

Sounds like Washington isn't the problem there, can hardly knock the lad for not scoring if all he gets is vague hoof balls. Seems well suited to our play style.

Aye, wasnt sure if s/he was being humorous or serious.

Does sound like we have signed the ghost of Matt Done

The same thoughts occurred to me while reading the comments. Hopefully, confidence and composure instilled by CW and AK will mean that he is not a "headless chicken".

Have we still got ties with Central Coast Mariners? We could do with an injection of pace.40BF524F-0B3E-40AC-8CF2-4A8AA2649907.jpeg

“he’s league 2 at best”

Good observation from this genius. That's probably why you paid £3m for him based on his performances in LEAGUE 1 then isn't it?

I predict anyone who liked Done will love Washington.
