am on holiday in Devon and was out in a blades top earlier when a QPR fan came up to me and starting ranting about Dean henderson being a disgrace to football on Saturday with time wasting antics. Ha Ha, he was properly wound up

He made a point of going to ground when claiming stuff to gain an extra second of two, but his actions were nowhere near Gunn-esque levels of Shithousery.

You should have taken a picture. I don’t think I have ever seen or heard a QPR fan get passionate about anything. Biggest bunch of wet fannies on the planet. Even Charlton fans have more angst.

I hope you mentioned that cheating on FFP and then crying about paying the fine you knew you were going to be liable for is a disgrace to football.
Letting Harry Redknapp spend stupid amounts of money you can’t afford is a disgrace to football.

What did he expect you to do about it? Phone Hendersons Mum and recommend she sent him straight to bed without his tea?

The only QPR fan I’ve ever known of was Eddie off Bottom. I just assumed their fans were paid extras from down the road at BBC television centre. Not to get all Wendy about it, but QPR are about as nondescript, nothing of a club as it gets. The Coventry City of London.

Sorry, but we weren’t feigning injury or rolling around in a Maddison or Gunn way. There’s drawing a foul and not rushing and then there’s outright cheating. Norwich did the latter, we did not.

I hate time wasting, it’s a real pet hate of mine and just takes the fun and entertainment out of the 90 minutes where the ball isn’t in play no where near enough as it is.

Time-wasting is a bookable offence. We had one booking in this period that was for Woodburn for kicking the ball away – I don’t think the ref so much as spoke to another of our players for anything untoward. Taking the maximum amount of time available to us to take a throw, free-kick etc is perfectly acceptable, and if players are to be fouled by frustrated QPR players that’s their issue not ours.

Exactly mate, that’s why I hate it, it’s just my opinion that players should be penalised more for it, clamping down more, then it won’t happen again.

I can guarantee you that if someone gets sent off for it, which might sound harsh but they then won’t be doing it again. If a player has already been booked he will never get a second yellow for time wasting though, it’s a joke pal.

My point is there was nothing to penalise, and the comparison with Norwich is wide of the mark in my view.
 
I hate time wasting. I get it that winning ugly is better than not winning, and I think we have been in the receiving end far more than giving it out, but for me the game is there to be played, not to be avoided.

Interesting article from BBC statisticians last season about the amount of time actually played.
