Just to let anyone know(you may already) there are some very cheap train tickets on the trainline website for the times travelling down and back from loftus road on 19 Dec.

I have a 16-25 railcard and are £6.60 return (about a tenner w/out railcard)

Thanks mate, we are staying over and coming back Sunday (bigger blade alert but ill check that out for Sunday return - save dumping the car on a Stanmore Street lol

best i can get coming back sunday is £23 return. still an excellent price, but crap times for return journey..... 10:30 Sunday morning, just a tad early to drag me tired old body out of bed after a Saturday night on the London ale lol. Think we'll stick to dumping the car.

Most have gone now

i was just about to book and the E.Midlands Trains site was down and not taking any bookings - its £18.50 now.

There are probably about 5 x £5 tickets per journey.

Not too sure if going through virgin trains website is any help.

don't the trainline charge for postage and booking fee?

Whereas with virgin all you pay for is your ticket and postage is free

Someone told me they were on trainline website but had a look on national rail(which I usually use) and were the same price on there but when I went to pay the EM Trains site came up and sai something one the lines of unable to make reservation.
