Thought Vinnies time at Sheff United was mixed.
Lets be honest….ability wise he was very average at best…some would say a bit crap.
However his attitude was first class. He hated losing with a passion and always gave 100%.
He also wasn’t afraid to slag off his own team mates on the pitch if they weren’t giving 100%...fans appreciate players who care.
These we’re the type of players Blades usually warmed too…but as we had a struggling side we needed quality not a hard working battler.
So Vinnie wasn‘t as appreciated by the Bramall Lane faithful as much he could have been.
I‘ve heard him on the radio talk about his football career and he kind of skips his time at Sheff United.
He makes reference to his ties with Dave Bassett but you sense he classes the move from Chelsea to Sheff Utd as a mistake.
