I read the article posted by broomhillblade last week on the financial state of clubs and the fact that club debt is putting investors off. It seems to me that McCabe's highest priority is to reduce our debt without regardless of the effects on the pitch.

I'm not particularly a massive fan of Blackwell but considering the pressure he's under, the amount of injuries we've had and our lack of funds available for the team, he hasn't done that badly.

I believe that we have to put up with what we've got for now in hope that McCabe's long term plans will bring greater prospects, as frustrating as it is, it has to be the only real way forward.

Maybe an obvious point but I'm trying to be optimistic in the wake of our disruptive transfer activity and poor results.

That's probably about where I am with all this. The only thing that leans me towards a change of manager is the constant picking of certain players when it's quite clear what the failings of the team are. We can't keep the ball yet he persists in playing the two main culprits in the middle, we're crying out for width and playing to the strengths of the strikers yet he leaves a succession of pacy players and wingers on the bench.

Blackwell has been hard done to and has had no luck this season but he has no excuse when it comes to player selection and tactics.

It's the same old story isn't it really, problems in the middle and a lack of pace.

I don't know about that but as far as I can see McCabe's plans no longer take into account the club's immediate footballing ambition. He wants out and before he can sell up he needs to be able to offer investors a club with considerable potential and a solid financial foundation.
