Just fucking typical it happens to us and so many times as well, the amount of points we have been cost would probably see us comfortably in the champions league spot already .

Well it’s a thing to do - not sure you can say it’s the right thing to do. Are all the other betting companies in the wrong? Paddy Power aren’t stupid - they will know how much they will have to pay out and will consider it worth the amount of publicity it will get them. They aren’t just being nice are they!!!!

Paddy Power are the kings of publicity. It’s no skin off any bookies nose to do anything like this. Not trying to knock them as I think it’s rare the punters get anything off them so they should be grateful for all they get.

They aren’t losing out over this though lets be honest. They know how to target their ideal customers and weed out their not so ideal customers.

Many/most companies will take any opportunity to take the money and run. This gesture runs contrary to that, which is refreshing.

Companies should get good publicity for this kind of thing as it sets a positive example.

Nobody is claiming it's charity, or that it's 100% altruistic, just that it's possible to help the consumer and the business at the same time.
