I love Chris Wilder to bits and love the way he has brought our club back together and I trust him to do what is best. But am I the only one who hates it when he calls us “punters” instead of supporters or fans..

Whilst we’re at it, I can’t stand the way football commentators and pundits seem to be saying “you have to say” at the moment. I don’t know who started it but they all do it and it only seems to exist in the world of football analysis. That’s my gripe with 2017. Can’t wait for it to end.

What about Australians, who when asked a question, always start their reply with...look!!!..........should be put up against a wall and shot

And when he refers to the Club as "We" rather than "Sheffield".

Meet you in the car park?

You sound like someone who needs to spend some time in General Chat.

Punters should be used for when using Prozzies only , i agree , it kind of belittles the fans However i doubt he knows he is doing it .

Are we allowed to call them Prozzies these days?

I am outraged we are using such a derogatory term to these Ladies, who provide such a valuable service to society, in the 21st Century

"Ladies"? That's a bit sexist don't you think? To exclude all the other genders? :)

It's just a term CW picked up while he was boss at Oxford...

Indeed Hillmorton.....Gentlemanly comforts for the weary traveller can be provided by many and varied flavours of gender misalignment.

Any port in a storm, or as my good friend would say.....'Any hole's a goal'.....o_O

(unfortunately, the hole between the sticks wasn't one of them yesterday to bring this back into Bladey context...).....

Didn't realise he meant the fans.

Thought he was referring to people paddling little boats with big sticks.

Surely people would be more irritated when he says “that’s what we’re about.” as he manages to say that in nearly every interview he does. If not that then he says “that’s not what my team are about.” :)

To be fair most of the time Chris refers to the fans as fans not punters.
