Whilst we’re at it, I can’t stand the way football commentators and pundits seem to be saying “you have to say” at the moment. I don’t know who started it but they all do it and it only seems to exist in the world of football analysis. That’s my gripe with 2017. Can’t wait for it to end.

Or us English, many of whom now use the first word “So” when replying to a question. You listen.

Surely people would be more irritated when he says “that’s what we’re about.” as he manages to say that in nearly every interview he does. If not that then he says “that’s not what my team are about.”


To be fair most of the time Chris refers to the fans as fans not punters.
