I start with the bad stuff as it's always best to try and end on a positive, today I didn't see a great deal to be negative about. After a mixed bag of 3 goals and 3 points against Lincoln followed by a piss poor pointless trip to Pompey, which like it or not was governed by a truly terrible refereeing performance, it was onward and upward to a tricky tie at Bristol. A few eyebrows raised at the team selection and I think most of us expected a defeat or at best a draw. What we got, and this is purely my opinion was...

CONS
Brereton Diaz starting again. I know Wilder loves him and I know he can do no wrong in the gaffers eyes but his first touch is poor, he gives the ball away a lot and either One or Donovan would be a better option. I know he runs about a lot but aimless running is just a waste.
Chongy, see above.
Finishing, a better team than us beats them 3 or 4 nowt today. They are wank!

PROS
The result! 6 points out of 9, a hard fought yet pretty easy away win and a team that actually looked like we were fighting for each other.
Arblaster! I'm his biggest critic and I stand by everything I've said but today I thought he was very good. Took his goal really well after a great first touch and an early shot. Quickness of thought as much as of deed and an excellent goal. Let's hope this is the start of his comeback.
Defence was good. Despite chopping and changing and a few changes in the game I thought we were solid. Had a few pinball moments in the box but no real saves for Coops and I couldn't see them scoring. Kitching was excellent, even with the push on the diver which was silly in today's game.
The ref for not falling for the cheat who took a dive to try and win a pen then another dive, holding his head trying to get Kitching sent off. Making him go off for a minute was a great decision.
Wilder. Have to say he got it right today, had the players battling and after a real downer in the week, just what the doctor ordered.

Not sure how much this squad of players knows about the fans, I mean old school legendary fans like Bent Nose but whether they've heard of him or not, thank you for giving the old lad a good send off. This one was for you mate, old school Blades legend who they just don't make 'em like that these days, and it won't be the same not seeing another of the old boys knocking about anymore.
