Prince's first job in the summer?

Key priority for me is to get the Academy up to the highest category. Then we can hoover up Yorkshire’s best young talent and nick the best players from the local academies (including Leeds and Wendy). There’s a huge opportunity to have the strongest supply of quality young players this side of the Pennines.

Getting my arsenal ticket tomorrow and im not even guaranteed it with a ST and 47k points lol!

And people say we don't need a bigger capacity? Just accept it were growing and getting bigger and bigger every season under CW and the prince.

The farce over ticket availability at the start of the season definitely confused people. I have said how difficult it seems to get a ticket for a visitor friend who would just like to go to a match but has no connection with the club. I have just not really pursued it on the odd occasion I would like to have got one. Often empty seats are ST holders who haven't come for one reason or another.

Still on-going. It's basically impossible for people to come to their first Blades game, when this is exactly the time thousands want to. Potentially be costing us loads in terms of lost-growth. Hope it's sorted next season.

It's not. Wife and daughter both been to blades league games for first time this season. It just needed a bit of planning.

Went to preseason at Northampton, cup games v Blackburn, Sunderland and fylde. Over 500 points, pretty much guaranteed tickets for any home game now.

Back the manager with a substantial (but reasonable) warchest.

We're 7th having spent (in relative terms) fuck all. The staff will be eyeing up the players who can take us to the next level.

If Wolves can get into Europe, so can we. If Leicester can win th...well, you know what I mean.

I reckon that when you add up not only transfer fees, but also signing on fees and players wages, plus the "improvements" for telly etc., the bulk of that £100/120m has gone.

Without large cash injections we'll never really do much more than tread water IMO

Heaven help us if we have to splash out "proper" Prem transfer fees and wages

Training facilities as per CW priority.

Keep ST prices low.

Forget major ground changes , accept that we are stuck with a lopsided stadium with no room to develop John St or Lane end.

To end up with a bigger ground the whole thing has to be shifted towards the south-east of the plot.
To do that we'd have to play somewhere else for a couple of seasons , which is never gonna happen.
Improvements to Kop rake & knee-space will reduce capacity , and extra seats at the back would be so far away at such a low angle that they'd be worse than the current ones.
Unfortunately our traditional home is a mishmash of development but then it has character.
The cost of increasing its capacity is disproportionate compared to new-build , which is why the extension plans are such a mess.
I doubt anything will happen to the ground for many a year.
That said , we could throw up a bit of steelwork at the back of the Kop to provide bigger catering , from which the Club might make a bit more cash.
And the sort of development which gives a decent ROI , namely corporate facilities , will actually reduce capacity for the Hoi Polloi.

Make the Lane the biggest and best for n Yorkshire, build it and they will come; we’ve already not been able to cope with the current capacity already...bigger ground more ST holders.

Why aren’t you guaranteed a ticket?

Will probably get one, but many fans who have ST in seats which arent on sale are buying em for South stand. (Other ST holders seats)

But that’s only an issue if there are more ST holders than seats available. Is that the case?

What's wrong with having uneven stands?

Plenty of grounds do, as long as it's not St James Park ridiculous I think it's fine.

Not at all. Only for the OCD ridden, every-stand-has-to-match-and-be-the-same-height etc brigade does that have to happen. It doesn't and it won't.

which is why the extension plans are such a mess.
No they're not. If you've bothered to look at them properly, you'll see that they've been well thought out and offer the best solution to extend the ground, whilst making sure we can still remain in our spiritual home.

For those who are clamouring for a complete kop re-build, the easiest and most cost effective way of doing that is to follow the method that Ipswich, Blackburn and Forest used - build a massive framework and build a two tier structure, partly suspended from that.

"Oh but what about our marvellous single tier kop. We must keep that. We don't want two tiers.."

Well, be careful what you wish for.

Proceed with the training ground improvements

Go with the plans we had for the World Cup for the stadium.

Keep CW

Agree with this on both sides.

Where I sit on H block, there’s loads of empty seats every game - yet it is sold out. The two in front of me are supposedly season tickets, yet nobody ever sits there.

I've got 33k. I got one at 9am yesterday. Every ST holder is guaranteed one

Out of the top 10 spenders in the last 11 years of the PL, 2 are ‘treading water’ (villa and brighton) and another is mediocre (everton). The rest are top 6 teams and leicester/wolves.

My point here, is that money spent does not equal success. Good management and recruitment is key.

I think our biggest worry in recruitment is eventually replacing the long term players, we won’t be able to get frees or develop L1 players in our 5th year of PL, maybe that will cost money but i think it’s more about being clever and having an eye for players

That’s why the prices should go up significantly. It will make people think twice about buying one and then not using it and will reduce demand. Keep the OAPs and kids at around the same price but put up the ‘normal’ STs.

Be cutting the grass, can't see the grass growing much during spring in Saudi, be too hot.

Bet he only needs to cut it twice a year the lucky bugger. Second and final cut end of September?
