We don't get know if it's the Prince bringing extra outside funds or us just playing with TV money and having lots of room to play with as we have a low wage bill to start with. With relegation looking like something we will avoid we have a bit more to be able to risk.

We won't be able to judge for a while where this cash is coming from. Not particularly bothered if its the Prince or just TV money its still game changing for this club.

K Mac made some huge mistakes without doubt but as much as it may grate you he did an awful lot of positive things for us as well. I’ve no problem with people criticising him but at least acknowledge the good things he did.

Every managerial appointment is pot luck. Did you think Adkins appointment was a good one at the time? Or have you been against every manager he’s ever appointed?
Does he not deserve credit for the academy or stadium set up? As I’ve said, he’s made some huge mistakes but none of us are blessed with hindsight. Slate him for his mistakes but at least acknowledge the good things he’s done

I don't doubt he has done good in some areas. I was commenting in relation to praising him for Wilder. Managerial appointments was a big negative for him. For the record yes I thought Adkins would be better, I'm not claiming I am all knowing.

His ticketing policy over the years has been brilliant, there you go .

Isn't the reality that Abdullah is the luckiest football owner alive? He got away with trying to have Kev's pants down and take control without buying the club's property assets. Until, of course, promotion was more or less sorted, at which point he was more than happy to abide by the terms of the original deal, which he'd previously tried to bypass!

His decision to back one of the most talented managers in the world with serious dosh which has fallen, fortuitously, into his lap is not a sign of genius. It is just plain, common sense if he wants to protect his ill gotten gains.

If you owned the Club outright and things were going as they are would you be looking to dilute your holding at this point in time? Or would you be looking to build more value before bringing in partners?

My instinct says keep building value, unless you have to raise cash and do not want to do it through debt for some reason.

Whatever the case may be, when you are doing well options will abound.

HRH has publicly said he funded the McBurnie signing himself as McC didn't want to stump up. Thanks for clarifying it. As you're aware some people on here just can't accept McC didn't spend in the way they wanted. The signings we've just made should be the conversation and not putting the boot into our former owner.

I'm sure Wilder was recommended twice to McCabe when he was sole owner and both times rejected.... Recommended again under joint ownership and this time signed on.

An approach was made to me about CW in the Clough aftermath. I didn't see it though. We were gunning for managers who had a track record of taking clubs up, so at the time CW was out of parameters. Man, did I ever get that one wrong!

CW: Couldn't say as to the early mechanics, and I'm not sure that it matters, but the owners decided together.

NA: After Clough there was a lot of discussion. I interviewed all the candidates. It can fairly be said that I took the lead, but the decisions then we're also jointly made after both sides interviewed finalists. I hold my hand up my for the NA decision, though I didn't make it alone. I prefer to own my mistakes. Easier to live with them that way.
