Simon.

I've emailed Dad. If you go to the Copthorne pre match you can gaze in awe at him. AInsley and Kozzy will be giving him the v's through the window :)
I'm barred mate. Orders from the top apparently. Been told not to serve me or any of the family. No match tickets either. Bit shabby if you ask me. I've been sniding in on the Westfield though with help from t'owd Woolly.

Regards Si

Thank fook he's gone. Never under his leadership we would spend this money or have ambition as a club to match our Chrissie we'd still be shopping at poundland!!!!!

If McCabe was still here in sole charge of the club then there would be no Moose, McBurnie or Berge.

Nah. What would we have done if nobody came in for those players? Shut down the club?
Not signed players we had lined up, laid some staff off and taken a loan out to cover the rest until we found someone to buy one of our players.
Or look for an investor and tempt him with an offer of half the club for a quid.

I could come up with some other more ethereal propositions to counter your hypothetical scenario of a club having no players of value to sell but it’s tea time and I’ve got better things to do.

Now that's fair comment AInsley. Absolutely mystifying that decision.

Well, not that mystifying he didn’t spend the Premier money last time around we had to put up with the likes of Luton Shelton and Ahmed Fathi.

But then compounded that error by allowing Robson to splash larger amounts in The Championship.

When it came to football decision making he didn’t have a clue,

Well did say he'd made some horrendous decisions, l should have known someone would need to start listing them

As for those players, his mistake was letting Colin "buy for the future".

I won't. I'll be drinking sparkly water with the Prince. He's the man now. Not Owd Kev.

A great time to be a Blade but let's not get carried away. Just listening to Football Heaven and plenty of Wendies blaming Chansiri for their position.

Don't forget that 5 years ago, he was the second coming, splashing the cash. Any comparison with the Prince isn't the point, but just spending money guarantees nowt.

We are in a fantastic position and the money being spent shows a real level of ambition. These wonder signings haven't kicked a ball yet though, so let's see where we are at the end of the season.

When they spent £10 million on Rhodes they all squealed that they've finally shown some ambition.....well that went well, didn't it? And once Chancer got out his wallet, never to recoup the waste of a decent wedge, well that was the day ambition died for the pigs. What exactly has Chansiri done to convert dreams into something tangible? The cat's out of the bag, he's clueless about he business of running a professional football club, yet the whining piggies tolerate this bullshit, such is their lack of backbone. So much for caring about their club, just return to the state of mindless apathy and hopelessness that acts like your weather vane.....you're a lost cause going nowhere fast!

That's a lot of words to say that the club would have stayed perfectly afloat as usual.

Afloat but with little chance of progression. Diminishing financial input, increasing costs. What would you have done, cash flow wise?

As easy as it is to kick McCabe we should just focus on the positives of now rather than reflect on the past. I don’t ever think McCabe ever acted with bad intent but he just made some god awful decisions. The Prince is making all the right moves and long May it continue.

Look to a positive future rather than wallow in the failures of the past.

Afloat and with our best players on the pitch to help the progression. Cash flow wise, it wouldn't have come to that. If I'd have known when McCabe did that he didn't have the scope to take us forward I would have done far more to secure a complete takeover a lot earlier. Anyway, what's done is done, let's enjoy the fact that we are in a far better position now.

There was no money to do that.

How would you have done that?

Yes. How would you get it done.
By making far more of an effort to do so. You're surely not saying that KM worked flat out to secure a takeover? Or did he just bumble along while asking for far more than what his shares were worth? Of course nobody can know, but sensible people can have a very educated guess at which is more likely, given how things panned out.

Not sure if Chris Wilder or Alan Knill, or the current scouting team, or Jan Van Winckel came up with Sander Berge, or the Zivkovic or the Greek lad (if they sign), but the Prince did say, when he became sole owner, that Van Winckel had a great eye for spotting talent, but all final decisions would be with Chris Wilder, called CW "the face of the club".

The Prince seems to be delivering on everything he said when he took complete control.

He does and I’m chuffed that this seems to be the case

However, next season for me will be more of an acid test. Another load of money coming in, but supposedly a big wedge taken out of the coffers to purchase the assets.

Just wondering how that will leave the finances for CW’s continuous improvement plan?

Norwegian international with Champions League experience, alleged to being chased by both Napoli and Liverpool is hardly Jordan fuckin Rhodes.

Though as he appointed CW/AK, and CW/AK choose who to sign I think you could be wrong.

The Moose/McBurnie signings were made when Kev McC. was still joint owner, so both owners would have had to sign off the payments, so far as I understand it.
