Just been (or should that be 'bin') on Sky Sports News.

I was impressed with his candidness and felt he was well grounded, perhaps even giving a better performance than Kevin McCabe!

If there is a SSN clip, then post it, it is worth a watch.

I am more heartened than I was previously. I liked it when he said about the "ridiculouus figures being banded about regarding his wealth". He said if he was worth a tenth of £18bn he would be happy! I suggest he clearly won't reveal his worth but perhaps we can assume it's in the millions rather than billions.

Got the impression he is reasonable but is seeking PL within 5 years. Prefers ambitious targets rather than easy ones.

Well he's got his work cut out with us then, certainly SUFC is an ambitious project!

Premiership and staying there will cost aprox £50-60 Million, so I'm still questioning what level of funds he truly has and enough to make his wish happen.

Though actually getting there would provide a big windfall and give us a chunk of that total.

Clearly we are still not in a position to buy success in the way that Man City & Chelsea have - but we are in a far better position than we were. The large debts have been cleared and we are on a much stronger financial footing. Hopefully the days of selling every decent player we get are gone.

Prince Abdullah sounds determined and ambitious and hopefully McCabe has rediscovered his ambition too.

I'd say we're closer to where Fulham were when Big Bad Mo took over, only the leagues are more competitive now so you're changes of buying, say a Premiership centre half, are zero.
5 years to the Premiership sounds about right, but you'd still need a hell of a lot of investment and a decent slice of luck.

What might be interesting is if there is other investment contact he has in and around Saudi.

But we aren't talking about stupid men here, they will already know it isn't easy and the types of funds needed. Let assume they have a long term plan.

I also think we can conclude that the ground will not get any upgrade before we are in the Premiership.

He doesnt look like a prince. he looks like a taxi driver. maybe hes watched coming to america. not very pc, but im kinda glad he looks normal. i had visions of lawrence of arabia turning up on a camel. :)
