This is a very valid pont, and one that i think is being overlooked by many blades fans. Over the last couple of days ive heard football heaven and a lot of blades fans saying that we will go down if we dont sign quality, all of which giving west ham as an example......
......this fooks me off sooooo much. Do these fans not see / read the news? the reason we cant compete in the window or sign "Quality" is because we havent got a blank chequebook. If we were int he same position as west ham, and had been established in the prem for a season or two, then we would have finances to increase our wage bill, and to pay what clubs are asking for.
Does anyone think that if we had shit loads of money that NW would not have signed Nugent, even if the fee is extortion. Likewise with the "Quality" midfielder that everyone is harping on about. Fathi could be that player, but because noone has heard of him, they think that he will be some cheap shit alternative.
What im getting at is these ppl dont seem to be using there brains, how are we meant to compete with the teams surrounding us, as far as transfers go, when we have a board that are wise enough to limit our wages so that IF we go down again, we arent going to end up in league one with huge debts that could make us end up like the wendys............surley ppl are smart enough to realise that we cant throw £70,000 a week at someone, im sure the board and NW wish they could.
Anyway, Rant over.......................Ahhhhhhhh it makes me so mad
