So who are Darryl Roberts (T&T) and Mark Bresciano, and why are we interested?

Darryl Roberts in yet another forward, not sure if he is any better than what we have got in the sqaud, but on the other hand Mark Bresciano is an Australian winger, that has interested Man City in back in Jan, and this summer West Ham & Fulham have been looking at him. At a cost of £4m.

Marco Bresciano is a decent winger who plays for Palermo. He's always looked good whenever I've seen him, quite tall and strong, good with his head.

He has played for Palermo in the UEFA Cup too.

I would imagine Carney would have some influence in him joining

roberts is a free agent after being released by sparta rotterdam and has scored 1 goal in 12 games for T&T

Don't think I'll get excited until we start hearing about central mid-field players.

although the finances maybe too difficult, Carney could be the selling point to make him come.

Fellow countrymen do help convince players to change.

Although this is as the thread states pretty thin, simply because bresciano would inevitably replace carney.

Unless blackie decided to play both on each wing.

If we are to sign a quality winger then i would rather see us spend the money on bresciano than what has been reported about us paying for cotteril.

bresciano can play anywhere in midefield but is predominatly a winger, his wages will be a fair bit, but that gets me thinking maybe valad with them being a australian firm could have something to do with this and may contribute to his wages, just a thought.....
