Seriously:

Why are you using Donavon so sparingly?
Is Seriki going to be at least on the bench on Saturday?
If Coventry aren't playing Gus can we get him back on loan in January?

Are we skint or have we been bought by a Billioaire?
He can't afford any new players but at least the entrance music will be funky.

Supposing the answers were:
1. He’s been unwell over the last couple of weeks, and has struggled a bit in training. He’s a confidence player, and the last thing I would want to do is to throw him under the bus in our recent series of crucial matches.
2. Do you want me to tell Derby our tactics as well?
3. No. We can’t afford him.

How would that help any of us in understanding what is going on? I say this to highlight the futility of phone-in programmes, and not to criticise your questions - they are all things that we would love to know the real answers to. But it’s not going to happen on a radio phone in show.

The questions aren't for a phone-in show; they're for Thursday's presser.

I'd ask it a different way. I'd say "Do you think football supporters in general are becoming more impatient and unforgiving? And does this negativity effect the players?"

I don't think this attitude is singular to Wilder. There's a growing tendency in society to demand entertainment and immediate gratification in the real world as well as on our phones. Not just at the Lane, it's happening at other clubs too.

As an older Blade, I've seen numerous times when our best players have been sold to fund running costs. All the way back to TC to Leeds. A mediocre season generally results or sometimes relegation. It's part and parcel of being a Blade.

This time seems different though. The criticism of the players and especially the manager have been through the roof - when we've not even been that bad.

I've seen plenty of Blades teams (and managers) that were poorer than this but they didn't get half the abuse. We are two points outside play-offs and barring a disaster aren't going down. Given the circumstances ie player sales and lack of funds I don't think we have too much to complain about really.

I'd be interested to hear if Wilder has anything to say about the attitudes of supporters today. Whether he thinks they have become less forgiving, and if he thinks the demand for constant success is growing.
He complains about fans most weeks. Why do you need to hear it again?

Also, fans have always complained. They just didn't have social media before. I don't get why fans need to 'rated' as being good or bad based on how they choose to express themselves

I haven't been on the kop this season but according to the Match Day Experience WhatsApp group (the lads who do the banners and try to create atmosphere) it's pretty dire at the moment.

I'd have thought that a loud, supportive atmosphere would inspire the team more than people 'choosing to express themselves' by talking, looking at their phones and applauding when we score.

Does he complain about fans ?

After the Lincoln game did you:

A) Sit down with your analytics team, study the game and identify areas of improvement?
B) Hold a meeting with our owners to discuss transfer targets, the ongoing legal issues, and the potential points deduction
C) Go out on the piss with Steve Cowans

I would think that people who pay to be there are allowed to act how they see fit. The fans aren't part of the team, blaming them for anything is bizarre

I take it you don't appreciate being termed as 'noise'?
It just comes off as whiny and now he's been doing it since 2024, uneceessary.

Splitting a fanbase into 'proper' supporters (those who back him unconditionally) and 'PlayStation managers' etc isn't going to get the club back in a harmonious position.

You are not going to achieve harmony whilst a section of the fanbase act like entitled children who think we should have bought world stars in the summer and be trouncing every team in the league and the other, more pragmatic section accept the situation we find ourselves in. Unfortunately the former section have the floor with regard to the forum. Wilder is not splitting the fanbase. It's the hole we find ourselves in and his approach to dealing with it. How different fans perceive that approach is the 'split' or divergence of opinion.
We are a mid-championship club. Always have been, with a few variations up and down over the years.. Accept it, and stop the constant moaning and to use your phrase, whining, when we loose a game. To highlight the point, much of the matchday thread is, unless United score, pathetic.

What does anything on a football forum have to do with Wilder calling supporters negative every time he's asked a question about a poor performance?

He's far too bothered by what people think of him
