Quality interview, can’t fail to be impressed. Sounds like promotion is his target, just hope he gets the backing to deliver it.

There were some interesting little bits he said in the interview that grabbed my attention.
He mentioned that some of the younger players such as One are definitely first team squad members.
He also mentioned the quality in the academy and mentioned Hampson and Marsh as examples but he mentioned them in a slightly different way as if he wanted time to mould them into what he thinks they can become. I suspect they may be around the first team but he wants to work on them to get them to the standard he wants.
He also mentioned the physicality of the high intensity way he wants to play and that players will have to be rotated/rested from time to time.
As has been mentioned he thought the quality was good enough for now but wouldn't stand up to the rigours of a full season. I would expect more squad depth but perhaps not as many as i would have thought. Some of that squad depth may come from injured players coming back to fitness and younger players levelling up over time and instruction.

I do like him. Seems driven, intelligent,very thorough but with an inner confidence that he knows what he's doing.

Let's hope the board backs him as much as they can cos I sense we've got a good un.

Blades Ramble does a summary of the presser on You Tube. He takes notes as its happening then goes through it. It's not called Ramble for nothing though. If the press conference is 20 mins, the summary will be an hour

I didn't say it wasn't. He admits himself he rambles on. I've begun to enjoy it more and more as I've listened to it but let's keep it between ourselves or this lot will skin us alive.

I just don't realistically have the time to do them during the day. I used to work on a crazy portfolio that had me working across 12-14 hours/day, but allowed me really good flexibility within that to take breaks pretty much wherever I wanted, so I used to do so during the pressers. I've changed that portfolio to something more 9-5 ish and balanced, as I've not got many months left here and there's plenty I want to do. I'm also prioritising other stuff outside football in my personal time ATM (except laughing at the S6 dramas)

Had to have a rethink on my priorities over the summer.

Was a good interview from Selles but who was doing the interviewing, FFS? Sounded a bit nervous and really amateur, interviewing someone who you know doesn't have English as their first language and rather than adapting to that, lobbing in unusual phrases like "where they've landed".
