Premier League start in jeopardy?

I was pleasantly surprised how smoothly restart went but look at the game in France being called off and the Scottish lot too. It won't be plain sailing all season long until this pandemic is over.

Don't think it does mean that. It's a separate test for antibodies so (unless they're getting that test as well) positive on the normal test means they have it now and are potentially infectious - symptoms or not - and they have to isolate for at least 10 days. Track and trace could then mean any other players/staff they've been in contact with have to isolate. Could easily have an effect on fixtures.

theres a separate test for anibodies but theyve found false positives are recording as the test picks up former virus strands

yes I've heard of that about the strands. So are you saying they should be ignoring any positive tests now based on Sophie's report?
 

Doesn’t anyone think it’s bizarre how hospitalisations and deaths have suddenly become so unimportant.
Last 6 days the UK daily death rate has been 11, 3, 5, 3,12 and 16 out of 65,000,000 people.
I have family who work in hospitals who tell me that there‘s now hardly anyone in the Nightingales wards.

But instead of reporting the good news that the virus has almost gone.
The government are now foccusing on “positive test” results and 2nd waves or 3rd waves are coming.
and they are trying their best to push the figures up as much as possible....they want everyone to take the test....to prevent Armageddon.

If hardly anyone is ill or dying from a virus then why the panic?
We’ve never had this panic with flu...loads of people take the flu vaccine every year but loads of elderly people still die of flu.
Why has there been no fear of flu in previous years? It sometimes feels like the lunatics are running the asylum.

It feels like the government know there’s little threat but are trying to convince the public that they are saving us from this evil threat.
So when it comes to voting time the story will be the Torries lock down policy prevented millions of UK citizens from dying.
You can bet history will be written to show Winston Churchill saved us from the evil Germans and Boris saved us from evil virus.
He even uses war time analogies like “brave people battling on the front line“ and “stay vigilant to fight this evil” etc. It’s craziness.

Anyway, who knows what’s gonna happen over the coming months? I’d love to think that the virus is getting weaker or we are close to a vaccine, but I suspect we are carrying weirdness well into next year and beyond. Crowds won’t be back properly for months, and for me that means they shouldn’t be back at all.

Also, a quick question to anyone who has recently used any of the words or phrases ‘scamdemic’, ‘wake up’, ‘MSM’, ‘critical thinking’ and ‘sheep’ (or, god forbid, sheeple) - why are ‘they’ lying? What has anyone got to gain from a fake pandemic? And how would they arrange a global charade?

Big Pharma has made billions,Trumps election year,? Who knows. The only thing for sure is we have been lied to and controlled for decades.

I always used to be like "think the best of people until they give you reason not to" but now I'm "assume everyone's a thick twat and give them a wide berth".

A man after my own heart after 5 months shielding I have been to Asda twice with wife, I will not go away go in a pub or restaurant, too many pillocks about.

I went in the local shop the other day, and this stupid woman that lives across the road from me had a mask, in her hand. Put it on your fucking face!

Honestly, I'm sick of them.

The only reason I need to go somewhere where thickos will be is to pay the papers for my parents, and get them gas and electric from the paypoint. I've got eon coming in a couple of weeks to fit smart meters so that's one less reason to encounter the brainless, just the papers now.

Same as you, no chance I'm in a pub or restaurant for a while yet.

There is nothing in it for the Government to keep us locked down for no reason whatever the conspiracy theorists say. What is In it for any Government to deliberately crash the economy?
 
Bromtom I go to Asda with our lass to help her with shopping as she puts big bag on my mobility scooter, we've not seen our youngest daughter for almost 6 months. My wife has been great with me she has moved heaven and earth to ensure I have been kept safe, but as you say can't allow for the idiots hope your parents are okay.

So far so good thanks.

Had them locked down too since the beginning of March when I saw it going sideways. Been sorting them out with shopping, books, newspaper delivery and whatnot so they don't have to go out at all. They're actually impressed because I've saved them quite a bit of money and they say the food is better haha.. they have a nice garden and are quite happy out there with a book in the sun.

Hopefully everyone will be free to do what they like and see everyone they want to safely sooner rather than later. Will be sooner if everyone takes some responsibility rather than a few.
