I can't see a way the can extend it past 30th June due to player's contracts. Just imagine if the Henderson loan expires on 30th June and not whenever the 2019/20 season finishes, that would be a huge blow for us!

It becomes impossible to finish, as you say hundreds of players are out of contract June 30th. This season is going to be either null and void or finished in a meeting room.

I don’t see loan extensions or players out of contract being too much of an issue. I assume they would just agree to extend until the end of the season.

The potential issue is players who already have a deal agreed to join a new team. Hakim Ziyech to chelsea (should be completed when the window opens in June) or Thomas Meunier to Dortmund (joins at the end of his contract 1st July).

I think the majority of these cases will be solved when leagues push back their transfer windows. If Chelsea can’t register Ziyech until at the end of the season, why would they force through the move early?

Since in reality we don't know what is happening with this virus, nobody does, and how long any lockdowns and restrictions will be in place I'll just take their statement as procrastination. Now I need to lie down after using a big word I don't normally do more than three syllables.

There will still be no football played in May either is my prediction. It's more kicking the can than procrastination, and not even a negative take on kicking the can. There is little else that they can say at the moment. If they called the whole season off now, there would be uproar, but by the middle of summer, people will have got their heads round the fact.

The UK hasn't even started to impose bans. People are still hanging out at the pub and going to the cinema. Schools haven't even closed yet. When you look at countries who implemented such closures already and how their number of cases has grown exponentially even so, can only imagine the UK is planning to out-do Italy.

January is my guess, as it fits with a possible cure being available. I can't see how any insurance company can allow it otherwise.
