I think the last time I had a sticker album was 1998. With United being in this one it'd be quite nice to do it, just as a reminder of my childhood, but Panini just want to rinse you for every penny possible and I don't really want to be paying £700-£800 to fill a sticker album.

I suppose it was the same back when Merlin were doing them to be fair but as a kid, you just didn't realise it.

I did a couple of World Cup ones fairly recently and there are good swap sites out there where you arrange a swap deal and just post them to each other. I never had a problem doing this, if anyone needs it I can dig out the URL.

It used to be a form you filled out (you wrote to them and requested it), now it's all web based (for example).

Edit: not sure about the 70s because I'm not old enough, but I definitely remember this in the 80s. I remember filling the form out for Back to the Future stickers!

I think they were about 2p each in Football 78/9 days. The pics I put on of the United team stickers were all sent off for, I never bought a single pack at the time.

Yes, that's how I completed my collections back in the day. I seem to recall you could only buy a maximum of about 40 stickers though?

Yep. I think it varies depending on how many total stickers there are, but there is a limit around that figure.

I got my wife pregnant 10 years ago purely so I'd have a panini card mule to do my swaps in school when we finally made it to the big time.

Recently found my 1994 sticker book with Blades in it. Half full at best. But I remember leaving the original out in the rain and it getting ruined so the one in the loft is the replacement.

I heard about the new book so I'm keen. S2 swop shop incoming I reckon.

Was a big fan of the football 78 stickers. Unfortunately we were in Division 2 at the time, so we only had a single team photo, not individual player portraits.

Panini announced a while back they'd be partnering up with the Premier League, however yet to have seen any other announcement.
They've released a 'Tabloid' sticker book, however this was all last seasons teams, and has a very small section with no stickers for promoted teams.

Not done one of these sticker books since I was about 7, however with Blades being in Prem, and it making a come back, think this is a right season to give it another go.
Never had chance to collect blades in a sticker book!

Can't remember- I thought it was just the Division 1 teams that had gold stickers.
