Is anyone else fed up of the fucking referees not playing by the rules of the game just so that it suits one of the big teams? 3 examples this weekend and there maybe more. 1) Not one but two of the Chelsea goals were offside by at least a yard. Somehow the linesman doesnt see it or he decides not to see it. Cost Wigan a point and could have been three. 2) Man Utds penalty. Young is again clearly offside. Derry puts his hand on Youngs side. Young flings himself to the ground. Everyone knows if that had been at the other end, it would have been a booking for diving. Again, could have well and truly finished the title race and dampened QPR's hopes of staying up. 3) Balotelli's disgusting challenge on I think it was Song, which could have broke the players leg. Referee gives nothing. Yet Matt Lowton gets a yellow card for throwing the ball to the half way line for our kick off. The FA need to sort out their referees. We all know Sky has ruined many parts of football. Please FA don't let your referees do the same.

You owe me £5 BB....

It'll never change, because it gives those who feed off football for a living, be it Sky, Papers, Talk, a reason to exist. They all love nothing more than a controversy. Example - many moons ago, chief undeserver of the gift of life, Graham Poll, admitted that he refereed games at OT differently than anywhere else because of "pressure". No censure /condemnation was ever issued from the Referees Association or FA, and Talk still use him as "go to" ex-Ref whenever there's yet another fuck up.

For myself, I stopped paying attention to who was refereeing a particular game, I work on the assumption they are all either incompetant at best and bent at worst. That way, when you get one who referees a game well, it's a pleasant surprise.

We've talked about it for a few years, but football is ready for a fall, fans will turn off.

It's sad that all week the headlines have been about Balotelli's shagging exploits, car crash and Mancini wanting to deck him... Very little about the football.

The FA, UEFA and FIFA all claim to be wanting to do something about refereeing, but they do nothing because they are paid by the successful clubs. They sell their product in England based on Man U, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and more recently Spurs and Man City.

The clubs themselves need to start being more honest, refs can make mistakes, but the players need to help the refs - not conning the ref.

I don't think the standard of refereeing is any better in the lower leagues, its worse, but at least in the Championship you get more honesty and fair play from the players, yet with harder tackles and more bite.
