Back up - Direct replacement for Baldock, Egan and a CAM

We’re far too reliant on Ndiaye for a bit of magic, playing him CF behind the striker as we have done this year would be criminal so needs to be in a 3 man midfield with him playing advanced. We need someone to link the midfield to the strikers a lot better than the previous 2 years in the prem as we don’t create an overload with the overlapping centre halfs hardly anymore like the first season and the midfield that got us sent down was so bloody static.

Cannot see us bringing in as many as this unfortunately. Good luck Hecky.

Yeah - that's 'the team' and mostly with the mercurial help of one Illiman Ndaiye

Without him we'd have probably been lamenting a Wembley fuck up with Berge missing the final spot kick. Or even finishing ninth.

Berge has been hot and cold and this coming season will be make or break for him. If he goes hiding in games and fails to turn it on in the big stage, we are fucked, because Hecky will continue to pick an empty shirt, week on week

On Norwood I thought in the 2nd season in the Prem he got pressed more and was unable to play his game. I think he would suffer again. When allowed his passing ability was great but if he doesn’t get the opportunities it’s like losing a man in the team. I think a really tough defensive midfielder who can break up play and run with the ball would be a better option.

If he is better than 2023 Fleck that doesn't say a lot anyway

It's also not quite accurate to say we just wasted appearances on Fleck. There were a few times he helped us close games out in situations unsuitable for Coulibaly
