My local pub is the coronation , it's a 15 minute walk from the ground , pride park on the back streets .
If any blades come down in numbers I can get it sorted and they look after you. It has large beer garden .

Won't ever get me in Brunswick coz I'll get arrested . The man is a pig pure smug but nothing about him . My Mrs went in with a blades training top and he snorted pig to her so I had him . Apparently he's do r the same to alot of blades down here. If he sees blades in there he hums lala la la Wendy .
Stick to the pubs I've mentioned most know me well . But an alternative is my local on the back streets about 15 mins from the ground .
If walking round town say hey up to Gaz , right by the metro bar he runs a key cutting shop he's a Woodhouse blade and proper character. As mentioned there's around 35/40 blades here in the Derby suburbs .
Any advice on the Portuguese trip will be appreciated as I intend to go .

I wanted Harrogate and/or York purely for the pubs and bars.

Need a mortgage for both. Harrogate is now min £5.50 a pint, York is similar pricing but their ground is out on Monks cross shopping centre

A rumour entirely of my own making.

Estoril parted company with their coach and his entire technical team yesterday (that bit is true...)



and the new management team may want to stamp their imprint on the club by re-organising any training camp and games to suit the new regime. Hence the Estoril v SUFC game is now in doubt. I've completely made up that bit. But, you know, no announcement yet....

Went to watch Estoril's last game of the season vs Maratimo. It's a tiny stadium - non-league in stature. There's a 'Fan park' very reminiscent of our porcine neighbours. It was 2 euro's a pint though.

There are no bars near the ground, but plenty outside the train station and on the beach front. There's also the Estoril Casino which was supposed to be the inspiration for the casino in Casino Royale.

If it IS Estoril, I shall be on my knees to my mrs to go over.

Cheers Silent, we start middle of August I suppose so that's 6 weeks to prepare.

I'm coming over to see family and bringing Lady Vancouver and the kids. Two of them have never been to the Lane and none of them have seen us play live so it looks like their first game will be... in Rotherham.

Am I overthinking it and worrying too much that this might not be a great experience for their first game? Anything I should be concerned about a trip to the New York? Will it be easy enough to get tickets? It won't shock people but I don't have any loyalty points.
