I'm sure the Blades would be welcome at Boston. Rob Scott is one of the two joint managers here now so there's a Blades connection. The club has got some useful players and would provide decent opposition.
(Plus York Street is only 5 minutes' walk from my house).

Well, we're going to Mansfield for one: LINK

Mansfield Town are the first pre-season opponents announced by the Blades as they commence the lead-up to the new campaign.

Kevin Blackwell will take his squad to Field Mill on Saturday 10th July for a 3pm kick-off against the Blue Square Premier League outfit managed by former Blades defender David Holdsworth.

He led the Stags to ninth in his first full season and his team has included two ex Blades youngsters - top scorer Jake Speight and midfielder Kyle Nix.

A bit off topic, i know but, does anyone know the date for the start of next season yet? I know it's usually around the end of the 1st week in August, but wondered if it might be put back due to the world cup. I need tp book flights back, but want to be there for the first match, if possible.

The Blades will take on Rotherham United in a pre-season friendly this summer.

The Millers, currently gearing up for their 2nd Division play-off campaign, will provide the opposition at the Don Valley Stadium on Saturday 24th July, kick-off 3pm.

United have already announced that they will take on Mansfield Town at Field Mill on 10th July at 3pm.
