I fucking hate Wolves fans, but, I just feel they’ll be one of those teams this season that we struggle against.

They have quality, but can also battle, are quite defensive and counter attack with (to be fair) some quality players.

Their summary of us is just pure arrogance. They’re a set of cunts that resent the fact that Villa are far bigger than them, which shows when they’re doing well.

They are ahead of us in terms of team development and experience. Promoted before us, they now have a full season of PL experience, plus success in Europe.
They sit just above us in the PlL for a reason. An experienced well managed side who we must respect, but not fear. This will be our hardest game of the season. I see a quality side who will be up for it.
Draws agains Spurs and Man Utd don’t count when we play a credible, in form side like Wolves. A proper test for Wilder at last.
Lets hope Egan and Moose are fully fit to start.
Cheers Roy

I really do hate Wolves. Apart from the pigs (and maybe Norwich) they really do piss me off the most. Fosun transformed them and they act like they are Barcelona. Wolverhampton makes the Wybourn look like Beverley Hills, when the money drys up they can crawal back under the stone they come from. Horrible cunts.

At least they make decent faggotts in the Black Country and there is the Dark Ruby Mild (Sarah Hughes).

Only redeeming features that spring to mind.

On the plus side, Wolves have just returned from an away Europa tie and, apparently, their manager has been approached by Arsenal.

I speak to a guy from Wolverhampton everyday ,have done for years and he always finishes the conversation with 'Ta derby'. Winds me up as I still don't know what hes saying. He reckons a 2-2 draw ,I reckon a 2-0 to the Blades. Ta derby
Why don’t you go for “a kipper tie”with him and ask him ?

I'm always glad when fans under estimate us.

Be interesting to see what happens with fosun now they have lost a huge amount of money through the Thomas Cook collapse.

Did they play a full first team side? I'm still not up to scratch with premier league teams.

Wolves realistically speaking, had already qualified for the next round....it’s all about which team tops the group...Wolves or Braga?
So I expected them to play half a side and rest all their key players

BUT Wolves actually played their normal league side....a full strength team.
It was also played in the rain on a heavy/muddy pitch, so I’m certain our players will have slightly higher energy levels.

I think I'll file the Wolves comments under - I'm not angry, just disappointed.

Firstly - their defence looks suspect. I suppose on one showing, without our first choice keeper and centre back, drawing with Man U is just something we'll have to live with. Other than that, our excellent defensive record with Egan in there is well publicised, though Lawro seems not to know.

Secondly - the fact a few of their fans are happy to go along with the label of triers is a tad insulting considering we've been through 30% of the season now and only lost 3/13 despite playing 5 of the Big 6, losing only to Liverpool from an unforced error.

Finally - I don't see what bearing losing 3-0 to them 2 seasons ago, especially when we beat them 2-0 in the return. I'd dispute it is almost the same team when McGoldrick and Mousset were not here. Neither was Norwood. Neither was Henderson or Egan. But hey, players don't improve, right? Just the same bunch of Championship players who when Coutts got injured, faded away to 10th in their 1st season back in La Liga.

A few simply can't take that we might do this season like they did last. Clearly overcome by the fact our player names don't end in -o or -ez. It doesn't mean we can't play. There was nothing in us passing the ball like Barcelona as Sounness aluded that could be put down to graft alone.

And as for comparing Nuno to Wilder. I like Nuno, he has done a good job there. But let's not forget how much money he had. Now plenty waste it. But they had 15m players on loan when we were splashing 700k on Stearman. And Wilder has a track record of success going back years whilst he left his last job under a cloud. No issue with him, but there is actually no reason for Wilder to be outside of this list. I mean Viera, what has he done in management? At a low level in the MLS and now at Nice. No big history of success. Same with Ljungberg.

But being below the radar seems to suit us. So long may it continue I suppose.
