Where on earth have they got it from that we're cocky and believing we'll smash them? I've not seen a single Blade say anything of the sort.

They on the other hand seem to believe they're Barcelona despite being just as in it as we are.

I hope we do smash these now. I hope Wilder does a proper tactical number on 'em and we piss it with consummate ease.

I wouldn't say anyone is being cocky, I think it's more realistic. We have a right to expect victory, especially after the last 12 games or so. Probably the biggest league game in the last 10 years if i'm being honest (discounting the pigs).

You've typed in Owlstalk instead haven't you Roy. Either that or the Battle of Bramall Lane is still hurting them.

I've not seen one post on here which you would class as arrogant or overly confident.

Clearly there is a spice problem down there, it's the only explanation.

WBA are a good team with good players and have enough to beat us on their day.

However their home form is very poor for a club 4th in the league. We are a good team, and can beat any team on our day.

All in all it will be a close game which I hope we nick. I'd take a draw now.

If we play to our best and Sheffield United play to their best we will beat them comfortably same as we would every other team in the league as past results show.

That why you're 4th in the league then relying on 94th min cheats and last min winners ya dumb cunt.
They’re relying on they’re luck to hold. Blatant cheating when second best got them results against Villa and Forest and even QPR were more than holding them before going down to 10 men.

I wonder why everyone hates the Premier League? A few years in there and WBA have deluded themselves into thinking they are anything other than one of the 35 best clubs in the country.

They are only top 6 because Barnes won them 6-8 points before they had to send him back. They have a bloated budget and an ageing squad. They'd better go up this year or that Villa creep of mediocrity is going to come calling for them.

None of our players would get in our best XI but we have more points than them. They lost at home to Bolton ffs. They conceded 3 at home to Boro ffs.

They might finish above us, might beat us on Saturday. But here's hoping that whatever happens we see them next year

That's an interesting reflection and one that may well have some merit to it - that other sides fail to recognise our quality, or are arguably uninformed about what we can do and how we can play. So much so, that they don't see our efforts but they attribute it within, chalking it up to a bad performance by their lot.

To be fair it’s totally understandable.

If, for example, one team has players with loads of PL pedigree
And another team has players of a Championship/ league 1 pedigree.

Then common sense suggests that playing an open attacking game then the PL players must win.
It’s common sense that the only way the lower pedigree players can possibly win is by working harder, containing and stopping the better players and being more organised.

So,if we have spells of outplaying them showing higher quality football it doesn’t make logical sense.
So the conclusion must be that all the West Brom players are having a nightmare off day.

So don’t blame the Baggies fans for their assessment, Wednesday fans were exactly the same but they are now realising what a fantastic manager Wilder is. Seems impossible that previously average players can now look like high quality players week in week out.

I do not understand ever this ‘I prefer Wednesday’, or vice versa thing that sometimes comes out in the view from.

Honestly, Wednesday and Leeds apart, I see every other single club in the same apathetic light as the next one. I have no preference or dislike for any club, how can you prefer Wednesday to United or the other way around? As a West Brom fan? Who gives a shit?

I prefer Wolves now :D

Think some of their bitterness might be because we have the audacity to think we might go there and win.
Of course i’d take a draw now but we’ve been watching United for 2.5 years under Wilder.

Gone are the days where we show the opposition loads of respects sitting back soaking up the pressure and trying to contain a rival.
We’ve seen with our own eyes that even in difficult matches Wilder goes out for the win with a positive attitude.

I’m not confident regards the result (win) because anything can happen but I am confident we’ll put in a very good performance and have spells where we dominate West Brom on their own patch because that’s what we do.

I’ve never given them much thought to be honest except when Smeggy was their manager. I just saw them as a small club occasionally punching above their weight overshadowed by their bigger brothers, Villa, Wolves and Walsall.

I see them in a totally different light now though, they should put ‘Twinned with the Rust Bucket’ over their entrance.

Wow,how deluded are those comments...West Brom have some good players at the top of the pitch, but it's the sum of the parts with us.
We gave them credit for the win at the Lane, but there wasn't anything in it really....let's be right, just that bit of quality on the break was the difference.

What a set of twats. Always thought baggies fans were ok, but not that selection...

Aren't they nicknamed the Dingles by the Birmingham clubs Gray?...It does remind me of Barnsley as a place to be fair.

Show these comments to the players before the game. Arrogance beyond belief. Hope we play them off the park and I will look forward to views from after the game.

They are such a huge club that they averaged less fans than us last season despite being in the Premier League.

Some ammunition there for tomorrow's team talk (not that we will need it), if Sir Chris Wilder reads these forums.
